Fire Sanctuary (Open-air) | The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword | Extended

This track is quite enjoyable. It's nicer to hear than Earth Temple due to its lightness. And this is the only temple you can access directly from the sky. This variation in particular plays in the rooms that have no ceiling (open-air).
Image was made by me in Photoshop, taking the logo and a snapshot of the temple as base. Yes, it's called "Gran Santuario Antiguo" in Spanish, which would be translated as Great Ancient Sanctuary; no fire reference there. For once, I prefer the English name, it fits the sanctuary so much better.

I went into this dungeon thinking " Oh boy a fire temple. Let's get this over with". After completeing the dungeon I have to say this dungeon made me feel 10x smarter. I loved the puzzles, the music, and the visuals. Best Fire dungeon I ever played in a Zelda game.

This is one the happiest sounding dungeon themes I can think of. I hear this music and I don't feel threatened at all. It's so inviting and makes me feel comfortable. This song needs to play in my advanced math class, I'd feel much less intimidated that way... Probably wouldn't improve my grade, though.

Its focus is on lava flow so the song has a very heavy melodic flow. Where Earth Temple is more of Fire Encased around you so that song is more background on the same power as the melody.

I think I agree that most dungeons can seem linear. In the Stone Tower case though, there is actually 1 way you can go in the starting room. The only times I can think of where it has a branch are towards the end, for example when you get the boss key, or if you're constantly flipping the place for stray faeries. I know that's surprising, but play through it again to see what I mean. I didn't realize it until coming back years later. A dungeon like the Forest Temple I'd say is less linear.

Yeah, I had this conversation 6 months ago in this very comments section. You probably don't remember it as linear (I know childhood memories said otherwise too), but if you look back on it now, I think you'll conclude otherwise. It does a good job at hiding its linearity, especially if you're collecting the stray fairies, but it is pretty linear. It's an awesome dungeon though for many reasons. The first three dungeons of the game I'd say are far less linear.

I dont think i'd call the Stone Tower linear dude :P. Btw, i think the Stone Tower is the best dungeon in Zelda history.(All the dungeons in Skyward Sword are awsome as well though)

That's only the early versions. A little while after it was released, they started to release versions that didn't have the chanting.

Any dungeon can seem linear if you know exactly what order you have to do things in coming in, but stone tower temple's first room branched off in about 8 different ways and just got crazier from there. Not a very linear dungeon imo.

I sensed a very slight Stone Tower Temple vibe while playing through this dungeon, due to the blend of the music and architectural style of the dungeon, not to mention both dungeons were pretty linear.

Yeah I guess I can see that. It's been at least a year since I last played MM so it's slightly foggy. In reality, none of the 3D Zelda game dungeons are truly non-linear.
