great concise video. went through all the same steps before i found this and found the same issue. the contacts were clearly no longer contacting. one issue you can have if you push the internal contacts around is to have the negative wires touch the positive plates for each battery. i used a bit of electrical tape to prevent them from touching. terrible design. when that was happening i could feel my batteries start to heat up. im sure this is another reason for these remotes to fail and eat batteries it is such a terrible design for the battery connector. it is annoying replacement remotes are $20 and a whole new stick lite is $35, pushes you to just buy another stick and throw away perfectly functional stick and remote. the app is a great backup but not as convenient as the actual remote for me. and getting the back off these remotes is a nightmare due to the glue. i had to damage the edges of mine quite a bit. maybe careful use of a heatgun would help but it may not depending on the glue and i didnt have one to try out.

Yes, you can try my method to fix remote. Anyways I'm assuming that you wants to connect your phone to fire tv stick as a remote. So, in that case you should install fire tv remote app in your mobile phone. Once installed, follow the instructions to connect it with fire tv stick. Hope you got answer. Got your issue. With single mobile it won't be possible! You can do Hotspot with another mobile and use same wifi for both fire tv stick and mobile where fire tv stick remote app installed. Hope this will help you.

With small screw driver. It's little bit difficult to open. Try to unlock the side locks first. You will get videos for remote opening.

It means remote working fine but stick having issues. Ek bar dusare tv ko connect karake try Karo. Aur original charger hi use Karo. Ye stick ka software issue bhi ho sakata Hai. Muze kuch mila to mai aapko jarur bataunga. Aapko kuch solution mila to yaha pai comment karake batao. So dusare logo ko uska phayda ho jayega.

Yes, remote opening is big task. Use thin screw driver or similar tool and try unlock the all locks. Best way to start from top side. At bottom(batteries side) locks are different.

If you have same remote which shown in the video then please try to open by using some tools like screw driver or similar. which will open the locks rounded over the remote. Hope you will open the remote safely.

False video. Opening is not possible in the given way. Seems both parts of the remote are stuck together by some glue.

Sorry to hear this. I can understand opening remote is but complex and tricky but it's not impossible. BTW I'm not shown how to open remote in the video, I was saying will open remote in the background also opening remote takes little time so not added that part in the video. Try with some instruments like screw driver. Locks are very heavy and once opened need to use gum to pack up. So try your best. Hope it will work for you.
