Hey Shinobi love the fire storm spec... changed my whole way of playin the monk and with patch 2.0.1 makes it even better with fire damage... and just wanted to say congratz on all that goodness thats been happening for you...

I tried a Multiplayer [Guiding Light] build today. Does awesome against large packs, but not so great single target/immovable mobs. [Guiding Light] passive of course. Along with [OwE] and whichever other passive you choose. [Cyclone Strike] with [Soothing Breeze] the 24 yard heal for the 20% damage buff from [Guiding Light]. I also used [Crippling Wave] with [Rising Tide] for Spirit so you can spam [Cyclone Strike] and [MoR] with [Transgression]. It's viable and fun with decent gear.

Just made a fire storm build, so far out of the four different guys I've played. This is my fav right now.

Oh, and the rest of the skills are sweeping wind/cyclone...I like to use TR/tailwind (R mouse) for maneuverability. Serenity. and whichever mantra you like. I'm currently using MoR with Transgression for the 8% AS.

Latly i've been playing with INVIS's Speed Palm build (can search the US monk forums for it) for playing with a CM wizard I've switched blinding flash w/ Cyclone Strike and Implosion... works amazing for MP10.

Try taking Mantra of Evasion (Backlash), Dashing Strike (Blinding Speed), Fists of Thunder (Lighting Flash). It adds extra AoE fire damage from backlash every time u dodge. + your dodge is so high -with a bit of life steal- u can't die even on MP10. I've been having fun farming high density mob areas on MP10 and I only do 100k dps. If I happen to aggro an elite it's no prob. Still cant die. It just takes a long time to beat down so I just kite it with me while I pull more normal mobs. it's fun!

use magefist gloves and there are other pieces of gear that have fire damage. Try adding all those and see what you can get for DPS. Looks like fun.

Nice spec, however I already have a WKL with 6/24, alright dmg, 50% crit dmg and a socket that I bought pretty cheap..(55mill lol). With a CM wiz, you should go Cyclone Strike with Soothing Breeze, passive Guiding Light. Both of you will deal more damage and you pull the mobs in for her to freeze. Its a win-win situation! :D

Hey Shinobi, how's things going for you? I was hoping you'd take a gander at WD. Mine is early in his lvl 60 gearing and I'm up to about 55k dmg w/o using Pierce the Veil with 3600 armor and mid-high 600 resists. I don't have 10's of millions of gold to spend but I'd like to ask you for a spec/gearing guide to help WD's like me (broke shamans) to boost our performance to handle MP5 or higher. Thanks! Hey shanobi, last night during your live stream I brought up the link to your armory page of your firestorm monk and kept it up to get the gear. This morning I started buying gear and about half way through the armory page refreshed and It seems you changed your gear :(... Is that gear still for the firestorm? Should I start over?

I use the tal rashas chest piece with the amulet to increase the fire damage.

Its possible if its different legendarys. you cant hold 2 echoing furys or 2 butcher axe, etc.

this is the same spec i used for a long time and if you want a bad ass cant touch me fire monk use mantra of evasion and put backlash on, even more fire dmg and when they swing at you it burst even more AoE fire dmg, just a tip for ya, and its really cheap on those light enchanted monsters because it pulses like old school nova wiz did

you just cant dual wielding the same legendary but if you have two diffrent legendary waepons its no problem

great spec,I was thinking of something similar after i got good burning axe of sankis but using barb & combining it with firewalkers & perhaps devil's tongue(although its damage not very high) & using these skills "us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/barbarian#bhXSfT!Yhd!acYcYY" but i haven't tested it yet since my barb haven't reached lvl 60 yet so can you tell me your opinion & if anyone can think of other items with fire dmg/buffs to fire dmg I'd appreciate it
