Does the Fire Teck have the AR block like the Tipton?
@wanderingthewildernessАй бұрын
It does not. Only + to the Tipton I seen. But I've used my firetech with multiple AR platforms and haven't had an issue but I can see how the Block is beneficial

I got mine today. Easy instructions; excellent construction; strong material; great price on Amazon.. Cost less than the Tipton vise; but I its a good vise. It is also very heavy. No worry of your gun tipping over. Thank You God Bless!

Couldn’t agree with you more on your assessment. I bought a Tipton Ultra and returned it the next day, because of all the issues you listed in your review. I plan on buying the Fire Teck as you’ve done my homework for me. Plus I paid $149.99 for the Tipton and Amazon sells the Fire Teck for $109 I believe. Nice review. Great honest and fair assessment.

You didn't talk about the magwell block on the Tipton does the other one have an option I want the Tipton for the magwell block but I like the fireteck better myself.... You have both are the frames the same distance If I were to buy the firetech then add the mag wheel block from the other company
@wanderingthewilderness7 күн бұрын
The firetech doesn't have mag well block and I can't remember if frame is same distance. I gave the Tipton to my dad. I can gave him measure and let me know and follow up with you

Nice review, thanks! I have the very first Tipton, even before the later Best gun vise version with the AR post, and it’s ok, holds the rear of the stock but the forend shifts and rolls, so it’s not that stable. I also have an AR post block I can fix in my regular vise, so not having that feature isn’t an issue at all, just need stability for cleaning and scope work. This is also $60 _less_ than the new Real Avid Workstation, with the same adjustment features, and $10 less than the Tipton. I’d never have known about this Fire Teck model without your review so appreciate the comparison to the Tipton Ultra. 👍

Thanks for this. I've seen some not so objective reviews. Looks like the Fire Teck is the clear winner to me. They are both out of my price range.

They're not necessary unless u are swapping scopes or making modification. They do help in cleaning but definitely not necessary

@@wanderingthewildernessI have to eat my words, ran across a deal on a Fire Teck and now own one. It's way nicer than I thought, it's really solid and high quality though out. Most importantly it works great. If it wasn't for your review, I wouldn't have known about this brand. Its not all over the place like the similar popular one.

Obviously a biased review. But the fire teck does look a bit better except no AR adapter.
@wanderingthewilderness Жыл бұрын
I would agree but it is a better product so my honest review dies lean towards the one I think is best...as I think any review does. The AR adapter isn't necessary, IMHO, for either vise. Even without it, the vise will hold the weapon in place for whatever your doing. Both are good products but IMHO fire tech is better. Thx for watching
@ebikes2xs3 ай бұрын
A bias review is already thinking one is better than the other before testing. Not what happened here.

So maybe try some free weights for your wrist strength if that really wears you out before you can use your firearm. I have the Tipton and I guess I don't have weak wrists because all the knobs are easy to turn. Been using it for years without an issue, the other one looks fine too.
@wanderingthewilderness8 күн бұрын
😁 I appreciate you suggestion. I work with my hands daily. I'm also a blacksmith. Was a mechanic in the ARMY. Farm raised heated by wood I cut myself. And I go to the gym a couple times a week. I personally don't think that's the issue. Maybe something was off on the item I received but it took some torque to get it to move and the firetech was much smoother
@lrh4118 күн бұрын
@@wanderingthewilderness All in good fun, I think you have a bad example or... not sure but my Tipton is very easy to turn the knobs. Not as easy as the one you are selling there, but easy enough. I am sure they are both great products. And I appreciate your service sir. Shoot straight and shoot often. 👍

Did the Fire Tech change the name? Your link says Gun Pliers. If so, they should have kept the Fire Tech name.
@wanderingthewilderness3 ай бұрын
It is still fire tech but the Amazon link does say gun pliers as the name of the item. Think its a translation issue instead of gun vise

With the Tipton you just have to flip the front clamp 180 degrees and when you tighten them it will be straight

I didn't get much from it because of it being obvious that this was a paid for review. You didn't show all of the features of the tipton like mentioning that it came with the AR adapter. I believe this was intentional because the fire teck doesn't come with it. Regardless of your opinion, an honest review would have included links to both to let your viewers choose so as i said, i just don't trust the review because it wasn't really a comparison review it was a paid advertisement for fire teck. Im interested in the product but will have to find an actual unbiased review.
@wanderingthewilderness5 ай бұрын
The review was not a paid review though both products was provided to me to review. I did forget the AR mag well but IMHO it isnt necessary as i have used the fireteck for all my ARs. I was biased because i do prefer the ine over the other and i do believe i had links to both in description box. If i dont, then i will fix that. Thank you

Real avid just came out with one. I’m looking for a vise bench to torque down castle nuts and for cleaning. Will these work? Real Avid also has a "speed stand" which is extremely compact.
@wanderingthewilderness11 ай бұрын
Yes I do believe either one would work. I do prefer the fireteck.
@brandonyoung77607 ай бұрын
The big problem with the fire tech is those knobs not only tighten easily they also loosen easily. Tiptons is hard to turn for a reason. Also fire techs other issue is with the leveling mechanism. You ignored the fact that since it adjust with notches you're not going to be able to get it 100% level in all situations. God bless
@wanderingthewilderness7 ай бұрын
I didn't or haven't had any of those issues. Using the "feet" and the braces, I had no issues zeroing my rifles and leveling the firetech. I do appreciate your input. Beautiful Buck by the way. Happy hunting
@brandonyoung77607 ай бұрын
@wanderingthewilderness thank you. I've had hands on with both but ultimately I chose the CTK P3 Gun Vise. It's solid steel and can be uses as a gun vise or shooting rest with a quick change of the optional attachment piece. I've been luck to be able to shoot with a bunch of guys and able to see a lot of different vices.

A con on the fire teck is the left handed threaded vise knobs and the adjustable feet I had to put set screws in the knobs so they wouldn't back off but other than that I love it. 🇺🇲 #19april1775

All that extra part does is go inside the magazine slot on the rifle. It isn't a necessary item. The to areas that grip the rifle are adjustable so if your working on the lower you can slide them closer to one another and clamp in. Jmho

But what's the benefit of having that monstrosity compared to an actual multipurpose vise? What I mean is what does it do? I can use a regular vise for archery also.
@wanderingthewilderness4 ай бұрын
Its just a vise. Main purpose is to hold rifle in place when performing maintenance, upgrades, or sighting in scope/red dot without doing any damage to the stock
