Tip, if you pour water in the bottom of your boat, other ships that fire at you cannot set the bottom on fire. Second, fires cause holes in the bottom of any ship if the whole boat's bottom is in flames.

Yeah it seems so weak at ship damaging. I guess its more about killing people but it should be more viable at damage. It doesnt ever seem to do mast damage which is weird considering the entire thing lights up. It should eventually knock it down for sure.

Summit1g was testing fire on his sloop and his mast fell. I think fire is good for stealth damaging a parked ship while the crew is questing.
