Easily 12win too. Last game not only did he mess up on the lethal play but he also gave up about 10 HP early on for some imaginary "mana curving" benefit. Turn ~5 he chose to equip the 4/2 weapon for 4 mana (despite its phoenix synergy), floating 1 mana, to deal 4 damage to the 6/3 raptor - floating 1 damage. As opposed to using Bash for 2 mana, because "then I wouldn't have anything to use 3 mana on!" So what'd he give up? Well, he took 6 face damage and lost out on being able to hero power for 2 mana, all so he could 'tempo' a 4/1 weapon after the attack. Put another way, Trump played a 0-mana "Equip a 4/1 weapon, lose 8 HP, trade a 4/2 weapon for Bash" card. What an absolutely terrible decision. He was 16 HP lower on his last turn than he should have been.

Lesson to be taken. Well, theres 2 actually. 1°: Some cards works wonders on arena when picked early. Thorl'belore is a great example of this, an average card who greatly benefits from the average fire package, because it gives the deck both direction and synergy; in this case the deck became an enrage midrange who is almost unbeatable on board once it starts rolling and has tools against virtually everything to guarantee that wincon. 2°: Remember that some classes have burn from hand, specially Mage Hunter, Priest and Frost death knight, but Rogue, Shaman, Warrior's charge and Demon hunter could also do it on a pinch, and realistically every single class has access to Astalor, Denatrius and minions who deal damage on battlecries (the 5 mana infuse comes to mind).

When you have a weapon equipped on your turn, your hero has that attack value. Meaning if a minion attacks your face, (Such as with Misdirection) it will take damage equal to your attack. It also won't cost a durability (As durability is only used when you actually attack with it) This also works with temporary attack buffs like Pounce or Chaos Strike. Also, this is the reason for the animation of doors closing over weapons when you end your turn, it signifies that the attack from the weapon is no longer being applied thus allowing the opponent to swing face without taking damage.

Can't help but wonder how big of a coincidence it is seeing all the "Arena players naming like they hit their head with a keyboard" while also having almost no customisations on these accounts, + also the many chinese character named players in general. I got a bad feeling that Arena is being severely influenced by the chinese playerbase and their botting / arena rerolling habits now. Played midnight EU last weekend and usually pretty slow population at that hour, but had 4/5 first opponents being chinese named "fresh" accounts with insane decks. Way beyond anything seen in this entire video, except for the first DK of course. There's so many hardcore chinese players that even if just a part of them hop over to western servers, they overwhelm the normal population. Can't add friends, talk about the games etc. either on top of the other bad side effects. Blizzard should really ensure that the rerolling of drafts is not that easy or powerful, to avoid players facing especially shit like that first DK. It sucks that the draft variance is so massive, on purpose now it wasn't always so, that your enjoyment in the mode is tied to how much you can reroll. Gold is not useful in HS now if you don't play ladder, so all it can do is act as a "battle pass" for Arena where you get to have more fun. Just feed the "shit-tier draft" back to the player who rerolls without even playing out the games, the system decides anyways if you get a good draft or not so why does it let people with bot-farmed gold skip the bad parts?

Speaking of the chinese trump seen on the id. As a Taiwanese, i can do a little explanation. Not all the people using chinese are Chinese. We are Taiwanese. Or as a history reason, our contry is called "republic of china". We have nothing to do with china in government now. The "traditional chinese" you see on the id is different from the "simplified chinese" which is used by Chinese. Traditional chinese are usually seen in Hong Kong and Taiwan. I know it's quite confusing. But we have no choice but to deal with these problems while a country who has been bulliing us for more than 6 decades is only 200 KM away crossing the ocean. Everything is so complicated when related to politics....
