The way how he got the System Sensor notification appliances strobes to sync is by putting them on the compatible sync module which is a System Sensor MDL Fun Fact: Gentex, and Wheelock devices can be put on a Simplex sync module, and Simplex devices can be synced using A Wheelock and Gentex sync module

A job I was just on just has SPSWL speaker strobes , wall speakers , and ceiling speaker strobes. They were pretty cool. They went off a hundred times when NAVFAC had to test them. (Naval base) . We got to work a couple weeks ago and the building across the street has advances that were going off and I couldn’t believe how loud they were even across the street .

Funny u used those speaker strobes. I have both of those speaker strobes. Got them over the summer. My boss left me with the L-Series speaker strobe that had an awkward bracket and the SPSR was removed in a fit up on a 5820XL-EVS system.

My school has red l series speaker strobes wall and ceiling mount. I just heard the system today and they do a slow whoop tone.

Also, could it be that the 4003’s message doesn’t mention elevators because it was meant for smaller buildings? For example, a smaller school where there’s only one story and no elevators having a 4003(EC) voice system as opposed to a middle or high school or any building with two or more levels that has the voice system built into a 4100 series panel that has the standard Simplex message.

Probably not. We had a system in our building that did not mention elevators. I think it’s clear to most people that you should always use the stairs.

Yeah, that’s a very common combination. Churches are a place of assembly for large groups of people. Therefore, many fire codes require a voice evacuation system to quickly relay emergency information to the public. Image that you had 500 people at your church and there were only Truealert horn strobes. The evacuation would not be as smooth if you don’t have voice instructions. Where I went to school we would have a monthly fire drill, and whenever the slow whoop started people knew clearly that it was a fire alarm. Our building was designed with that system because of the library and dining room; all other parts of our building had horns.
