New subscriber. Just a thought - instead of moving the face-plate for the rod locker back, just make a new one and extend the existing tubes. As long as they line up 90% right, it doesn't seem like it should be an issue and it will make getting the rods in a LOT easier than having that gap. Once the deck is on, no one will be able to tell.

It was cooler watching you guys making the inserts instead of buying the prefab lids etc. Average guy can't afford all that needs to see how they are made. Props to Nate but losing a bit of the craftsmanship.
