7:20 The interactions here were pretty complex but it makes sense when you add it all up. Buying primalfin gave you a golden one, playing it gave you the discover spell (simple enough). THEN, golden primalfin actually discovers 2 murlocs (I had to stop the video to read that part), the first discover gives your 3rd seer (which makes a golden), the second discover gives your 4th seer. The only weird part is that the choices appeared as golden before selecting him but I guess the discover animation is just processed before the combining one. In the end you played 2 goldens for the 2 discover spells, the extra non-golden seer (that looked golden to discover) didn't give you the golden reward and ended up normal. Quite a sick turn!

It appeared golden because he could had picked in the second choice the 2/3 copy making it golden also in addiction to the already golden seer

@@pedroneves2402 But he DID pick it in the second choice, it turned out normal. Unless you mean if he didn't pick seer in the first choice? I think I worked it out though, it's a golden primalfin so it's showing golden options. Just visually like in the card game.

The way its programmed is "Golden Card discovers Golden Card", so when the animation plays, it goes "This is Golden so grab the Golden image file". Then when it gives the minion, the program knows to give a non-Golden because it's the Battlegrounds game mode. They just didn't add a check in the Discover animation to see if the game mode was Battlegrounds or not.

7:30 The minions you discover are normal, but look gold in discover because the primalfin was golden. The first cold light seer you discovered combined with the two you had on board to make one that was, in fact, golden. Then the next cold light seer was just a normal one. As a result the first cold light seer let you discover a minion but the next one didn’t.

Firebat actually missed the second triple rockpool while he was being confused by the mass discovering. He discovered two coldlights, the first of which combined with his other two coldlights to become golden....it didn't discover a golden one despite how the graphics looked.

7:34 my dude: golden cards still function with the same mechanics as they do in the normal game, i.e. a golden discover card will discover golden versions of what it normally discovers. This is an interesting interaction (possibly unintended) by which you can get golden versions of normal, un-upgraded minions. By chance you also had two unupgraded coldlight seers on the board already, so the three normal seers (including the "golden normal" seer) combined into an upgraded golden seer. It's understandable if this was confusing if you haven't seen this interaction before, but you were looking for coldlight specifically, to triple it, so I wouldn't have expected you to be as confused as you were. On this point: 7:34 - you were also looking for rockpool hunter specifically! That one hurt to watch. I guess if in the moment you were still processing the fact that you were offered "golden normal" minions not normal ones then maybe your instincts told you not to pick it in case it would not count as the third minion of the triple. But you did just complete a triple in this way literally two seconds before...

No, it just looks golden in the choice. The golden primalfin discovers two regular murlocs. The discover a tier 6 minion came from the golden he played. I'm surprised Firebat was so confused, as the only weird thing was the golden appearance on his regular units. He even missed getting the third rockpool that the discover offered him! He clearly needs more sleep.
