Firebird 2 By Tone2 Is Now Freeware!

Tone2 has set their Firebird 2 VST synth as freeware and I just had to make a video about it with a couple of sound examples. This is an awesome synth (I bought it while ago when it was still commercial) and I recommend to go get it asap! :)

Hey Benjamin. I was using presets from factory bank B. You'll find them by clicking the Setup button (it's in the Other -section of Firebird). It will open a setup window and there's a box named "load factory bank". Click on the box and you can select another bank (A, B, C).

Firebird 2, T-Force Alpha Plus, Synth1 (not Sylenth1!) are great examples of freeware VSTs. There are many free plugins to explore :D

Synth1 can actually compete with Sylenth in sound quality. It might only have 2 oscillators, but if you layer 2 Synth1s, you basically get a Sylenth. ...I found. :D

Protip2: Don't go writing anything on the internet before knowing the facts: there's factory banks A, B and C included in Firebird. You can load them by clicking the 'Setup' button in the 'Other' section of Firebird. It will open a Setup screen and there's a 'load factory bank' -box: click on it and you can choose factory banks A, B or C.

If you havent found out yet, you need to click on plugin options on the top left corner and then press browse parameters. On the very left you ll see every button and knob listed. You can press on it and create the automation clip wih right click. Thats how it works with lots of plugins

On the FireBird, find the little section that says "Other" on the side. Click the little Setup button in that section. Once you do, there should be something on the screen that says "Load Factory Bank". Click that and choose "B".

Just move the knob you want to automate (for example move the cutoff knob in firebird) then click Tools > Last Tweaked > Create Automation Clip...or you can move the cutoff again, press on the triangle in the top left corner of the VST plugin (in this case firebird) and choose Browse Parameters, it should open firebird knobs on the left in the browser and you can right click on any parameter you want to automate and choose create automation clip. I hope I was clear enough.

This is what I find to be the easiest way to make an automation clip... At the top of FL studios you'll see tools. Go down to last tweaked and press ''create automation clip''. Hope this helped someone.

Got my copy working beautifully in Cubase 5, but it doesn't seem to have the ARP Impress Me PP arpeggiator preset. Could you please tell me where this came from, and if possible tell me where I can find more arpeggiators from Firebird 2 (paid or free), thanks. They are some presets available for download on the Tone2 website, but no arpeggiators. :(
