Firebolt Sorcerer Pit 153 | S5 Diablo IV

I was triggered because I kept getting this boss over and over again so I sent an attempt and it's actually a good boss? Lol. Played awful but clear is a clear I guess.

Ice blades is an interesting addition. I’m curious why you use it as well as the lucky hit: vulnerability roll on the amulet? Could that be something else or do you still notice some vulnerability downtime without both?

Also, mekuna went from pyro attack speed tempers last season to close damage tempers this season, I believe to get bigger shatter damage. Do you feel the need for pyro attack speed for more hectic triggers maybe?

@@jeffotaylor without lucky hit on amulet there isnt a way to apply vulnerable in an AOE situation, as ice blades would be our only applicator. I tried to run lightning spear instead for vulnerable but you lose out on too much CDR to be able to consistently flame shield shade mechanics which makes you have to move more. The conj mastery stacks are also free damage and helps mana regen just enough that you dont go OOM and allows me to run enchanter instead of unleashed. I have only confirmed the data for 13 frame firebolt(178.7 AS) with 1.15 APS weapon so I may be wrong, but losing AS tempers likely drops firebolt to 15 frames. AS is essentially a unique multiplier and this would be about a 15.4% APS increase. With my additive setup close tempers would be about 14.7% increase to the additive multiplier. I am not a mechanics expert though so I could definitely be wrong.

@@voidseerxd I may try running without the lucky hit vuln to see if I feel like I miss it during trash clear. I think the idea to use close damage instead of attack speed is leaning on shatter as your main boss damage. You don’t really care how fast you kill the boss’ adds, just that they die next to the boss. Close damage adds to those shatters. Attack speed will add a bit of direct boss damage, but that really is a small amount compared to the shatters. I’ll spend some time this coming week pulling masterworking my set and starting my fire bolt pit push to compare. Thanks for the reply and for the videos!
