Goat Packing & ASMR Camping the most beautiful place ever! Firebox Freestyle Stove Fire-Pit 8 Cooking Steak & Potatoes Dinner.
Of course I'm familiar with the term "took my breath away" but this is the first time it's actually happened to me. I saw the rock face leading into the massive crevice cut into the basalt layer and thought "wow that's beautiful" then as I stepped down towards the drop-off to look into the gorge it happened. I literally had to catch my breath. The amount of splendorous beauty blew my mind. Never before have I been taken back by so much majesty as I looked down that gorge and across the vast vista to the far off desert below. I wanted more time to take it all in but in the back of my mind I was taking inventory of where the animals were in relationship to the cliff's edge. I knew I had to get moving in order to keep my beloved four-legged friends away from danger. It's funny how those two things are often combined. Beauty and danger. I guess natural beauty always comes with at least a little bit of danger but in this case the risk was quite palatable so I quickly moved on to safer ground.
For those of you who don't already know me, I'm Steve, hello and thanks for being here. I'm a natural born inventor. My mother was wildly creative and my father very practical and handy. I guess the combination gave me enough natural talent to realize I could work on strengthening what I had been given into an ability to develop useful products. Having always had a passion for the outdoors it was quite natural for me to work towards perfecting the gear that enhanced my own camping styles. For a long time that meant I took some new homemade gear with me on trips to test it out and make adjustments. Eventually all that led to me making my flag-ship product, the 5" Firebox Stove, which still stands at the top of the folding wood-burning stove market. Since then I have come out with a lot of other outdoor enhancing products (mostly camp cooking related). With all the junk on KZbin nowadays, it’s always a pleasure to watch one of Steve’s well produced adventure videos. Had to watch this one on the big TV to soak it all in. Well done sir. My first two years in interior Alaska were on a clear creek that fed into the Tanana River. There were grayling in it that we caught on ultralight tackle with spinning reels. However, we never ate one, so I can't comment about the taste. We mostly ate northern pike, red, silver and king salmon and halibut. ... Love your videos Steve. Absolutely incredible as always.. The firebox and cooking/baking set up has been amazing for my trucking job 600 miles A-day. Coffee in the morning with the Trangia and grilling at night with wood. Everyone gathers around to see to see what I'm doing and begs for information on your products. A remote property with some livestock and a goat bug out vehicle are all on the list to achieve. OK, so Junie was being the teacher in all this and saying "watch this team, you always want to make sure you check the water level and look for deep spots". "Let me show you what happens when you are not paying attention, this is all for educational purposes, I knew it would be deep but sacrificed myself for the learning aspect, I expect paw rubs from all of you when we reach camp!". Just got back from Utah visiting family and joining in on the annual camping trip at a reservoir near the City of Huntington, Utah. Glad to get back to some of my old stomping grounds before I had to get responsible and move to the Great North West working for an aerospace company who hired me out of college. Steve, many of the places you visit and film remind me of my college days running rivers and backpacking in Southern Utah (CEU and WSU Grad). Thanks for the great vids and products!

Lovely video. My flex and 5in have come in so handy. The grands are delighted with Oma’s “fire pits”. It is so special to pop outside while the stars are still bright in the morning and start the stove. Not much can beat eggs, bacon, potatoes and of course some good coffee shared in the outdoors whether you are in Utah or the Texas Hill Country. Another great Firebox video. I used both of my Fireboxes, my 5in and my nano, last weekend with wood, trangia alcohol and trangia propane burner (all from your website!) And it all worked great as always. I think one of the guys will end up picking one up as well after seeing how well they work. Thanks Steve!
