No. I just keep it moving. The stone is mostly for baking you can also use it when making rice to keep the bottom from burning.

That's not true. There were no fire restrictions at the time of filming. And it was not dry at all this was early spring.

In Washington State good luck anytime of the year to have an open fire. Cool as this idea is it would get you a hefty ticket in this state and in front of a judge. States are cracking down more each year with risk of wildfires caused by people

Growing up every single weekend I was headed to the lake camp out, a lot of times I would go to school with my Alice pack loaded up with all my camping gear and I would jump on my bike and go straight from school to the lake and camp out on lake Tyler Friday night Saturday night come home Sunday evening some of my best memories.

Would not miss your video ! But I have a respectful comment on all 6 of you men outdoosmen I watch. I learned as a Boy Scout u never cook on the flame 🔥! U build afire and drag hot coals to the did and always cook on the coals not the flame 🔥! And I still cook that way at camp. ! Just saying. ! Thanks 🙏 be blessed

Lately I've been enjoying cooking next to a flame using its radiant heat. There are a lot of ways to cook with a campfire it's fun to explore them all. Thanks for your input. I also love cooking over coals

That's because it's at the beginning of the video when it is still milk mixed with roux. At the end of the video you can see that it is much thicker. I think some KZbin viewers are just looking for something to point out rather than actually paying attention

Steve, have you tried using the pizza stone from Box Pot or Ultra cook kit for grilling directly over fire? Like once you used a marble for steak and shrimp? Just struck to my mind so thought of asking. And lovely clip as usual ❤
