PLEASE, you, and EVERYONE, if you haven't already, embrace the One True Only God YHWH Jehovah, Only One Jesus Christ His Only Begotten Son and Lord and Savior of our souls and the Only One Holy Spirit. God is good. God is love. Jesus is Lord. Jesus IS coming. Your soul depends on it! I have seen God act in my life. He saved my soul, changed my heart, changed my mind, helped people through me, took care of people in my life, people I hurt before I found God. God is the only reason I was able to reconcile with my dad before he died. God worked through Jesus Christ to save our souls. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins. Believe in your heart and confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and that God raised Him from the dead and you will be saved. Be baptized in The Holy Spirit, and if He wills, water as well. Repent of your sins, accept God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit into your heart, that Jesus Christ died on the cross for your sins. For God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ, that all who believe on Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth and The Life. No one comes to the Father Jehovah God but through Him. Not long after I got saved I prayed to God for help understanding the Holy Bible, and that same day someone knocked on my door asking me if I wanted to understand the Bible. The Holy Bible says, "love thy enemy", "turn the other cheek", "If your enemy is hungry, feed him", "if he is thirsty, give him a drink", "pray for those who persecute you", "do not repay evil for evil". LORD willing, all humans may commit sin of almost every kind (gay, straight), and that's wrong, and all humans sin, as God tells us through the The Holy Bible, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus." The Holy Bible also says, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

I saw this in 2014, this problem on college campuses. I was in college in 2014 in Los Angeles, I saw the active recruitment by the Revolutionary Communist Party, a group of very wealthy older white women, divorced from powerful men and almost universally dumped as bring too old to stay with their powerful spouse, who indeed had younger women now. Using their money available from divorce settlements they "Grey Wives of Hollywood" were now political. There were active cliques that searched for professors and students they could dislike. They approached black and other minority groups and gave monthly stipends as recruitment tools. They bought young, poor, students who needed the extra money to get through college. Within 1 year, I noticed the white student minority(LosA Angeles City college), was being ostracized by peers who until the last semester were friends but now universally shunned. When a straw poll for President was done by my Communications class on this very topic, we asked for a campus election of Presidential candidates. Trump, a non competitor by media pundits, was included at the time as well as the usual suspects in both main party's. We did 2 'elections', one a vote by ballot done on the campus yard in person, with anonymity. The other was done electronically via school email. Funny, the number of respondents was very similar where I expected much higher turnout on the e-ballot. The results were universal. In public, Hillary Clinton was a strong runner with Bernie Sanders, while Trump became a wildcard victor as nobody cared for or liked ANY of the Republican candidates. There were a total of 7 candidates though, 3 Dem 4 rep. While Trump was never seriously considered publicly he won universally in the e-balloting before the Republican primary! Bernie Sanders became the next best candidate. But in public forum at the physical voting booth, only 1 candidate had a chance. Hillary Clinton. I noticed, mainly, the actual fear already shown by those against the prevailing socialist dictatorship arising in our future.

It might be a fact, but the upset has to do with the deliberate confusion of gender and sex. Sex is biological and can be male, female, or intersex (rare). Gender is a social construct and whether or not purposefully, typically boxes one's sex into a set of social norms. Conservatives want to control females into a submissive second class citizenship, whereas progressives want anyone, regardless of sex (or ethnicity while we are at it), to be free of rigid social constructs. What she should have said is males are taller on average; Presumably, her being on a panel would infer she understands that distinction.

@TheHare-rv3hjThis is often said as a joke, but it is true. I’ve been on the receiving end of so many outbursts by this type, prone to it due to my social grouping, and it’s wild. Stay indoors or don’t engage with people when you know you’re off your rocker. They say “I’m off those currently” like it’s empowering. With some, it’s actually like dealing with two people or half of one. When off meds. It’s not healthy for them, for what they want, or the rest of society. It’s just a free for all and it needs to be reigned in so that people who are actually a THEY have the best chance at life, which currently many THEYs are ruining just for the sake of chaos (for whatever reason I’ve independently heard many Thems say they love chaos and not in an Ian Malcolm way). Chaos is literally the opposite of society. We live in a society. And plenty of THEYs are actually rational and normal contributors. It’s always the loud ones who demand they represent everybody else. The ones who sit around silently need to stand up and tell them to sit down.

@@BicycleFunk First thing to understand is that the reason people oppose what you said is because gender roles are not an arbitrary social construct. It is built on top of the biological reality. Second thing you need to realize is that the notion of women as second class citizens is a modern notion. Most men and women in history simply had roles they tried to do their best in to simply survive. Women didn’t get involved in hunting, soldiering or farming necessarily because they weren’t allowed. They were simply not interested and frankly would find it infuriating to have to raise the children and educate them while them also having to do such tasks. Speaking of the issue of submission, everyone in society was subject to another. Even today, this is no different. A woman would have to submit to her superiors in the work place and follow their lead on decisions. So the idea that submitting to her husband or her father back in the day was an atrocity lacks the argumentative power you seem to think it has. After all, men were also living in submission to other men and even women when the monarch was a Queen and so forth. So it appears that you are a soul who has the knowledge, but lacks the critical thinking ability to properly arrive at conclusions and make connections with the knowledge you possess. That is not good. Please do try to rectify that habit.

I started programming computers about 1972. Went through a trade-type school. Almost half the class was women. I read articles in trade publications describing how balanced the profession was because it didn't have a long male-dominated history like other disciplines. But over the years, more women would leave for other careers than men. It wasn't a lot, but over time it added up until there were mostly men. Then I think the word got out and fewer women pursued the field. When I earned my Master's degree, there were still a decent percent of women, though less. Where I worked, the women were accepted just like everyone else. I saw no difference. But women still drifted away at a high rate than men.

@zasterheffor
@zasterheffor 3 ай бұрын
EDIT: Since some of my comments are being deleted, I'll simply incorporate them into this one going forward. @johnabbotphotography 1. I doubt that was their sole reason for leaving. Human action is usually more nuanced. 1.1 Shortly after leaving the auditorium, they mention that this guest speaker was a "paid" guest speaker -- by student money. They may have known beforehand what his speech would entail, and simply showed up in protest. 1.2 The contents of his memo consisted of harmful stereotypes. I read some of his memo. Personally, it's largely pseudo-scientific drivel. Why? Because the studies he cites to make claims about sexual difference are not only NOT definitive, but he extrapolates from them to conflate sexual difference with gendered difference. The studies he cites do not make this conflation; they speak to sexual difference: biologically male and biologically female participants. In order to draw conclusions about gendered difference, the studies cited would need to involve participants that identify as man or woman, and as you may or may not disagree with, this is a wide spectrum. Nonetheless, studies that elucidate patterns about gender are not equivalent to those that elucidate patterns about sex. 1.3 Like most people, he doesn't grasp that the ethos, or ethics, of diversity campaigns is social justice; his memo insists on "demoralizing" diversity, effectively making it financially driven -- which would never work to commiserate those historically and institutionally discriminated against. His point of view on this particular issue can be considered malicious because it erases the very real, and targeted institutional harm that minorities and queer folk are subjected to on account of their identity, or immutable attributes, rather than talent, skill, or merit. 1.4 The woman beside him follows with a false-equivalence to the effect of 'women are shorter than men,' rather than 'males are taller than females.' It is a dogmatic framing of gender and sex, and one that attempts to erase the possibility of gender non-conformity. Furthermore, not all scientific facts are scientific law, certainly as it pertains to something as malleable and adaptable as human biology. Lastly, his memo was hardly scientific. To follow his speech with a claim about height difference between genders, as if it is factual, can be upsetting. It illustrates that the conversation is ideologically driven, and not earnest. Hope this...helps? @markaurelius61 Everything is thoroughly intertwined. That is an ambiguous claim. The proposition here isn't whether they are intertwined, but that they a) should not be confused, and b) are distinct conceptually, and under the purview of different fields of inquiry: genetics versus psychology. You are entitled to believe that queer-identity is bad. That is the value judgement many of you operate on, for reasons only you can speak to. What I am here to share is that, regardless of it being bad: it and sex exist in different realities. No human expression can change the reality of sex. Sex is genetic, chromosomal. But language, cultural practice, and convention -- social constructs -- have always shaped gender identity, gender expression, and gender roles across several civilizations throughout human history. Edit: I should also add, if your underlying concern is population growth, or the possibility of human extinction, there are far more pressing existential threats than the self-expression of 0.002% of the global population. Climate change, economic inequality, war, pollution are more impactful areas to focus on.

@zasterheffor the blue-haired gentleman literally raised his hand in response to Heather's "does anyone take offense to this fact [that men, as a group, are taller than women, as a group]"? So, I think it's safe to say that he did, in fact, take issue with that basic statement of empirical truth?? (I can put question marks after affirmative statements too!) Also, James' memo was making statements-- whether you believe them to be scientifically sound or not-- on what *is* : observing the reality of our sexual dimorphism-- both morphological and psychological-- is not necessarily a statement of what *ought* to be; e.g. if I state that women, as a sex, are more drawn to people rather than things in how they go about choosing careers, this doesn't mean that I'm also somehow implying that a woman who *does* have an aptitude and interest in robotics, for example, *shouldn't* be allowed to or encouraged to go into that field. You can't on the one hand claim that you have no issue with an empirical discussion on sex-specific differences, but then on the other hand claim that do so is to "promote harmful stereotypes".

What makes it to the headlines or sound bites or snippets of video presented to the public through media channels is usually altered, filtered, framed, or spun. The raw video, raw interviews, raw text, raw events if recorded are always much more detailed, nuanced, or otherwise accurate. They just are not summarized or concise, so the job fell onto editors to choose what's important for the audience. Originally, journalism formed as a decent profession with ethics and honor to the truth, not to agendas or biases, but much of that has been eroded away with the long-term daily grind of agendas causing attrition, the ratings boon of political framing, inserting commentary, spinning the events to match an ideology, or omitting/downplaying certain aspects to make the events fit into the boxes they want.

Pages 1 -3 : reliable, coherent and relatable. Page 4 : Women are not open to ideas and things, as opposed to aesthetics and feelings - this is the author’s first bias when it comes to women - of course women concentrate more on appearance than men as women are conditioned from a young age to look pretty (another gender based conditioning and discrimination) but using the excuse that women invest more in their personal grooming and upkeep of personal spaces to justify that they just like aesthetic is misleading. Women are open to ideas and things, in adjacent to aesthetics and feelings. Women place importance on ideas and things and bring a different perspective to it that men lack. The author should further explain his definition of ideas and “things” to clarify what he means as his current definition in the paper is weak. Women are unable to negotiate high salary because they are less assertive - another bias from the author - when women do ask for higher salaries they are repeatedly undermined and rejected by their supervisors. (same can be said for agreeable men who don’t pose a threat to the supervisor) The supervisors might also have a bias from the belief that coercing women to not ask for pay raise ensures that they will be more agreeable towards rejection than men as men get emotional and their anger turns to rage meaning more damage to the supervisor who denied their pay raise request. This is mostly due to personality issues which predominantly puts women at a disadvantage.
 Women are Neurotic (higher anxiety, lower stress tolerance) - no! women can handle stress well, they just handle stress differently than men - women just internalise stress while men externalise stress into rage - this is a perfect example how women are better apt at handling stress as they introspect while men’s stress leads to property damage and possible threats to human targets. Page 5 : While gender gaps are biological the abuse of such gaps definitely is sexism - that is the real issue which the author has surpassed in his assumption. Men’s higher drive for status can be traced back to the gender based conditioning of men to be superior to women and girls from an early age as toddler males. There is no denying this! So the real issue is gender based childhood conditioning which should be changed.
 Women are actively discouraged from taking up high risk jobs like mining. It might stem from the fact that when women enter a workforce, they push for changes for proper sanitation, better safety measures and wellbeing of the workforce which is costly for most employers who benefit from lacks costly safety measures in the workplace as men are not conditioned to look after their wellbeing and hygiene. This is a direct result of corporate greed and desire for high profit margins at the expense of the employee and their wellbeing rather than the fault of women. Women find better ways for cohabitation, inclusion and wellbeing in every sector they employ. Page 6 : Women look for more work-life balance because societies across the globe have put more pressure on women for child care than men. Men are only able to pursue such high status, time intensive jobs because they have women partner at home who take up all of the child bearing and nearly most of the child rearing responsibilities and household responsibilities in a world where its expectant and forced on women rather than men. As a species where a family unit is incumbent towards its survival, gender based roles of only women as care givers for the children has held women and girls back from active pursuit of such high paying and time intensive jobs. It’s not that women desire these roles less than men, but the reason that if they did - then the children would suffer because men do not step up to child rearing and household care. So the only possible solution for women is to stay childless to progress in the work place. The author being a man has totally overlooked this very crucial point while writing the whole memo. Total lack of maternal care; menstrual leave, care and pay; pregnancy related healthcare; pre and post natal leave, care and pay for women have drastic measures for women in the workplace. Mensuration and/or maternity are a crucial part of life for women and girls for which the workplace has not made any concessions and safety measures. This is a direct gender based discriminated oversight of women on the part of institutions worldwide. The author states that Google should benefit from it’s proposed changes not the women and men who work there is a gross misunderstanding of why we should even work. Corporations and governments are built to ensure a better life for the people and community, not the other way around. In real life, this has been perverted to suit the needs of the rich people who benefit from exploitation and abuse of the masses. But the principle stands - institutions are built for the needs of the people - people are not built for the needs of the institutions.
Page 7 : Gender pay gap is very real. For the same position and amount of billable hours women and men put in at work, women are paid less than men globally. It is statistiacly proven by research analysts. No, the society at large is not focused on the protection and safety of women and girls as the author states. If it were true then there would be more safe women which is not true. Every woman and girl across the globe has experienced sexual assault and/or rape in the course of their lives perpetrated by men. This means that women and girls are essentially not safe. Women and girls are actively called liars and discouraged from reporting on sexual assault and rape. Women are never believed in these circumstances. The resources and strategies that deal with assessment and persecution of rape and sexual assault are purposely underdeveloped to hinder prosecution of men who rape. Sexual assault and rape is legally considered as “property damage” across the globe. Women are not properties or livestock as they have been considered not 50 years back. Women are human being and by the virtue of being human, harm to their person should be prosecuted at the same level as the prosecution for degrees of murder, which is not in practice when it should be. This is another instance where society and culture fail women and girls repeatedly because of gender based violence and discrimination. This issue can not be overlooked even if the author desires it as this issue does have consequences in the work place. This constant threat of sexual assault and rape by colleagues, supervisors and employers (male dominated roles) is another form of oppression which hinders women’s advancement in the work place. While women who are at the top positions are disparaged for using their sexuality with men in power to gain those high positions in the workplace (without any merit). The author has completely failed to address these important issues under the guise of “interpreted as a form of women’s oppression” statement. Yes, women spend more than men - the reason is that women buy for other people in their lives as well - shopping for their male partner’s daily needs, shopping for their children’s daily needs, all household expanses, women are more compassionate so they shop for their relatives and friends and donate to charities. Men often delegate their personal purchases to women in their lives. This is the real reason women spend more while still getting paid less. Further reasons that women spend more is that women from an early age are pressured into investing more in their appearance and care products (the reason that fashion and beauty is a billion dollar industry). Overconsumption globally has aided this gender based pressure. While men are classic targets for real estate, automobiles and video games, sports related expanse and related paraphernalia - women’s needs and expenditure is seen as frivolous while men’s expenditure as crucial and mandatory. The reason men are expected to be strong - again - traces back to childhood gender based conditioning. This should be changed and women should not be blamed for this. Page 8 Yes I do believe that no wing (left or right) should have monopoly but saying that we should empower conservatives is bad for human rights. Human rights that should unequivocally include women’s rights should hold precedence over all “winged” debate and discourse. Take aways : The author, an introvert male has subconsciously but very clearly stated his own bias against women in his memo to google. The two main biases are - 1. women put less time and effort in ideas, things and high stress, time intensive jobs; 2. Women are protected throughout cultures and societies. Both these presumptions are untrue as I have hoped to prove above. The two things he should have considered while writing the memos are - 1. Women needs (biological and mental) are consistently overlooked 2. Women’s safety is constantly at risk. Yes statistically and biologically men have advantage over women when it come to one on one combat but due to women’s nuanced personalities and traits such as - 1. agreeability, 2. gregariousness, 3. better stress management, 4. balancing ideas and focus on things with community building 5. Demand for better safety measures 6. Hygiene and personal wellbeing 7. Extroversion and introversion 8. Compassion and child bearing and rearing abilities
 women are more suited to working at all positions in cooperations rather than men who rely on hormonal stress related rage (combined with low emotional intelligence) to succeed in the workplace which is dangerous.

Notice how when he asks it "What are your thoughts" and it seems confused by that question as if it couldn't understand the context and had to be further clarified about what just happened less than 3 minutes ago. These people truly live in an alternate reality and can't seem to put two and two together.

The fact you are referring to the creature as "it" (gender-neutral, of course) rather than "they" (grammatically incorrect) is great. Much easier to follow along than using a plural pronoun for an individual 😂

@@bofa722 Thank you! When an intelligent living creature, a coyote for instance, wanders through my yard and I don't know its gender, "it" is perfectly acceptable. I don't see why the same shouldn't hold for humans. Pronoun problem solved!
