Firefighter Basement Window Extraction

This video demonstrates a technique that can be used to extract an injured or unconscious Firefighter out a basement window using a piece of equipment that is carried on most fire apparatus - A folding or pole ladder. This is obviously not the only option for this type of rescue, but in many situations it can be very effective.
Some basement windows are just too small for this type of removal, while others will need to be enlarged. When possible Firefighters should take advantage of vacant or acquired structures to practice unique and difficult rescues. When buildings are not available, props are an excellent alternative. I really like the halligan underneath for the cavity space. We do this in RIT classes, but what we have found is that if you place the ladder in upside down, you can use the ladder feet to keep the ladder from slipping back in once you load it with weight. Also, keep in mind that the rescuers will need to egress too. I have my recruits rotate either right or left as they exit the basement, so that youre not landing on top of each other. Nice video. All video above are worth viewing. many are technique are new, and worth studying. Their idia came from years of experience firefighters. I am thankful to the firefighter who share their idea and knowledge.

Ahh idk about the other two ffs thats a small window with a high lift. I think they would have trouble getting out.
