Hi Richard, I have my firefighter interview in 2 weeks and I’ve been told I will be asked 1 scenario question within the interview. Just wondering if you would be able to help me out with a few examples of what could be asked? Thanks

Hi mate how did your interview go and what kind of questions did they ask you? also what were your answers to the questions? I've got mine in 2 days!

@@Kubacie Hey man, I was asked questions about experience of working in a team and what my role was within that team. An example of when I’ve directly been involved with diversity in the community and again what my role was. At the start of the interview I was asked to talk through my statement used in my application and then from this they stopped me to ask questions. To finish up they asked me what I knew about the role specifically. Just make sure you make them know that the role isn’t just about tackling fires and it’s predominately community work etc. Mentioning testing and cleaning of all equipment and PPE is a good thing to answer with as well. With any question you answer just make sure you’re being as specific to the question as you can be and make sure you know exactly what your role was as they will stop you mid answer if you’re going off track. During the interview as well make sure you address anyone in attendance as sir or ma’am, that will go a long way trust me. Any other advice you need mate just drop a comment and best of luck

@@Kubacie I looked online for potential questions related to the PQA’s and then came up with answers from there, if I could give any advice it would be to practice answering them a few times over just to come across more confident. Answers to team work questions were related to a job in hospitality I’d worked and how we had a gas outage which I had to help lead the team to keep customers happy. Another question I was asked was to give an example of helping someone who is in distress. Again just look at the PQA’s and be as specific as you possibly can
