No it does not mean that. There is no food around, and if they got burned they can get secondary infections. And if their fat tissue was heated up to boiling point they can die from sepsis even a week or more after the actual fire.

Why would we allow this trend to continue when we can do something to change it ? We've never seen fires as bad as we have recently and there's no mystery why considering we just saw the hottest decade on record.
