Should have called a locksmith. We would drill a couple of small holes in the trim and removed the lock so the door latch or bolt can be retracted. Destroying the door will cost $2K to $3K to replace. Plus the cost to send the fire trucks and fire fighters cost a couple thousand dollars. This $200 service call cost the California tax payers close to $5,000.

The city needs to demolish these bathrooms and build the kind at parks. It's one building with two sides for men and women. Each side has a main door with 4 stalls with a door (if your lucky) and the main doors have timed locks. These bathrooms at the beach are "luxury" apartments for these tweekers and they totally destroy them. I hope the city crews that have to clean them receive "bio-hazard" pay, they are disgusting! Better yet have the tweekers clean them. Tourists and visitors should not have to be expose to this. Unacceptable.
