Firefighters worked overnight to try to contain the Line Fire in San Bernardino County

Our lifelong friends finally got out of Running Springs, after thinking they could stay. They got down from Big Bear on Hwy. 18 East and then Hwy 38 South to Mentone and from Bryant to family in Yucaipa. Now evacuation orders are out for Mentone and Yucaipa in the North. We hope and pray for our friends in all of those towns and areas! Please put your safety and your animals first! We are lucky this year, since we’ve sold all our Luring Pines, Running Springs and Highland properties since 2018 & 2019 and are in the low desert now, but our hearts and minds are still with our home town areas and our friends and all of you who’ve moved into those towns in the last few years and facing this fire for the first time! 2007 I went to Prison. Not just any "Prison". But Camp RAINBOW (Crew 2). They trained me to become a Firefighter❤️ These people are real life HEROES Please pray for them; It is one of the hardest jobs on this planet!!🥰

"Firefighters worked overnight to try to contain the Line Fire in San Bernardino County..." ...and made ZERO PROGRESS, even though the conditions were almost perfect for fighting such a fire. The only thing that would've made it absolutely perfect would've been a thick marine layer moving in. But, things are rarely perfect. Even so, ZERO PROGRESS, and it's grown in size.

​@@grega8586 Well it's too friggin late, now! 5% containment in extreme terrain, with a serious on-shore wind event shaping up for tomorrow and Wed. - this is evolving into an extreme fire emergency for Running Springs and the entire Big Bear Valley. They are seriously f'd. Nope, gotta catch these fires when they are still small, and not stand around waiting for them to blow up before putting serious water and manpower on them.

It's too late now. They completely blew it the first day, and let it get completely out of control before they finally started taking it seriously. At this point, its's a monster and wil likely destroy multiple mountain communities in their entirety. Thanks USFS and CalFire! Great job!

You can thank your Democrat Governor and Democrat Assembly and Senate for refusing to call the Emergency the first day! Newsom has been in charge long enough to know how fast these fires move and grow! So no excuses there! The only thing that may cause this late response is the number of other bad fires needing those few tanker planes and choppers! But there again we can thank the Democrats in charge for deciding to spend all our Emergency funds on taking care of their other priorities and then spending us into near bankruptcy into the Trillions of State debt and National debt instead of putting some of their “discretionary spending “ on more tanker planes,p and Fire Department needs! But that was not important in their minds, So. Cal Fire does without! Nice call Newsom! Your train to nowhere was more important and so are illegals whom can vote!

@@kathybray2838 Whilst you make good political points, the reality is that CA had no serious/large fires buring when So CA 'fired up' last week, so there is literally zero excuse for this fire getting out of control but sheer incompetence on the part of the USFS and CalFire. The conditions couldn't have been much better for knocking down a fire like this when it started. Temps were high, but so was humidity, and there was essentially zero wind. And the weather has remained that way to present. Tomorrow, everything changes, and high winds are expected through Wed. With 2 fires burning - 1 in the San Bernardino NF and now 1 in the Angeles NF - with basically 0% containment on each, the sht is about to be hitting the fan on this situation BIGtime.

Nature didn’t start this! If your home was in the path, you wouldn’t be so blasé! Lives are in the balance here and animals live on those mountains too! When the rains come, there will be massive mud-Flo floods as well, and that may go into your own yard!
