FIREFLY Cast Panel Highlights - Dragon Con 2023

Firefly actors Gina Torres, Sean Maher, and Jewel Staite gave a panel at Dragon Con 2023 to talk about their experiences, acting, and to answer fan questions. Due to the SAG/AFTRA strike, these actors could not address specific characters, roles, or projects.
Gina Torres played Zoe Washburne in Firefly and in the movie Serenity. She is also known for her roles in Suits, Westworld, Pearson, Standoff, Hannibal, 24, Transformers Prime, Revenge, Star Wars Rebels, Final Space, 9-1-1: Lone Star, and many more. She also appeared in the Matrix movies.
Sean Maher was Dr. Simon Tam in Firefly and the movie Serenity. He is also known for Eastsiders, Con Man, Arrow, Make It or Break It, The Playboy Club, The Street, Party of Five, Batman: Hush, and more. He also plays Nightwing in many Batman-related animated films and more.
Jewel Staite portrayed Kaylee Frye in Firefly and the movie Serenity. She is also known for Stargate: Atlantis, The Magicians, Family Law, The Killing, The L.A. Complex, Just Deal, Da Vinci’s Inquest, Higher Ground, Flash Forward, Space Cases, and many more.

I haven't seen these actors in a while. Kind of sad to see Jewel Staite got onto the plastic surgery disaster train.

@@FandomSpotlite yes she has. look a the past few years (other dragoncon / other cons) and you'll see NOTICABLE differences in her face. It's sad but true. She looks better here; i will say that. But yes, she has had work done.

@@adam99x2004 Nope. In 2021 she posted this on Twitter: Part of being active on social unfortunately. A guy said I was unrecognizable from Firefly, a show I shot when I was 19 (I’m 38 now), because of my “terrible facial plastic surgery”. I haven’t had any facial plastic surgery. Not that his opinion matters either way. Followed by this: Feel like I need to clarify that there is NOTHING wrong with having plastic surgery on your face or anywhere else. Do what you want and what makes you feel good. It’s just weird to be told my face looks bad from surgery I didn’t have.

She has filler and botox 10000%. Her eyes are misshapen as well, probably a brow lift, but could be from the injections. If you are pretending thats her natural face, you trippin.
