Really , continuous dmg goes to firefly. Last time I checked she deals very low dmg to non broken enemy. And enemy are not broken all the time . Look at the chart he made and see who has higher continuous and higher screenshot dmg.

One negative I've seen some people say for Firefly is that her damage has too much downtime on it because she needs to get her ult up and break the enemy first, but I think a lot of people are forgetting that all of Acheron's damage comes from her ult, meaning she also has quite a bit of downtime unless you E2 her. Conveniently, Firefly ALSO has much less downtime once you E2 her. I think both characters are equally incredible for their own reasons, with their own unique downsides that are fixed by both their signature lightcones and their E2's.

I would say that acheron probably still has a little more potential value than Firefly as Acheron still doesn't have her best support and can get better, whereas Firefly pretty much has her best supports and the damage we are seeing now is probably not going to get much better.

Acheron has 0 downtime with the topaz cone fire protagonist, and the other 3 that put a debuff activate it in each round and that's talking about a f2p acheron because with cone and eidolons it is even much faster 😷

Seriously, Bailu has been on my team since I discovered she was a healing unit, when I got her, I didn't want to use her because she looks like a child and her voice is annoying, but when I discovered that she can heal 3 characters with one move, I put Natasha to rest and Bailu has been on my team ever since... My current set up is MC Acheron Bailu Pela And when I get Firefly, I'm probably going to go try out. Firefly MC Bailu Asta. I might change out Bailu or asta if I happen to get Gallagher or Ruan Mei.

I feel like Firefly could have taken less cycles if you used the trotters better tbh. You broke then with Gallagher and his ult which already advances him. But yeah good analysis. Acheron's ult doesn't kill until last hit so her dmg numbers are actually inflated. Both are really good though. Firefly takes more actions. Acheron hits harder per turn and ult.

Another point of difference is dmg type. Acheron is aoe. She hits for full dmg across all 5 enemies while the target with the most flower stacks takes an extra hit of dmg. Firefly hits one target while adjacent enemies take splash dmg. So this is a really good showing for her. I don't think Acheron is the queen dps nor do i think she is the best dps in history. I actually think she is extremely overrated. Nor do i believe firefly will be taking this mantle. I believe we are just pulling up another seat to the table. The table now sits 4. IL, Jing Liu, Acheron, and i do think firefly will sit comfortably among them. U can pretty much argue for anyone of them being the best dps. For me i always say Jing Liu is top dog. She may have the lowest dmg output among them, but her high value and low investment, ease of building, and consistent high dmg output with hoe she easily skips her down time. She makes up for that lower dmg output. But like i said u can argure for anyone of them and u wouldn't be wrong

Jingliu is very F2P friendly too and newer player friendly. If you started HSR today or just before Acheron banner released it would be extremely difficult to get her ideal build. Jingliu only downside is ice weakness isn’t in the mix right now and there hasn’t been any solid supports to take her to the next level. Acheron and Imbibitor Lunae and Firefly all have strong team synergy with their teams. Jingliu only has Bronya really, who can completely rid of her downtime. Ik Ruan Mei and Pela are great too but the damage isn’t as high as the other teams with maximum synergy. And it doesn’t help Hoyoverse is still feeding those break and Acheron teams moving forward

@LeoDragoGR Acheron's value is highly reliant on your investment into your account. At low investment she under performs to the point u are better off running other units instead. Jing Liu comes out the box ready. It's what makes her so good for new accounts. She is also what I call a solo dps. Any unit u would pair with Acheron or IL she will pair with. She can do this just because everything she needs to succeed is already built into her kit. And she buffs her base values so much that she is fine on her own. If she had a way to heal herself she could probably solo clear Content. It's what makes her a good unit, but it also is why she will probably never push any further. While she likes units that can give her energy and turn advancement that's every unit. I don't think we are ever going to get a Jing Liu support that will further her kit. I think will get best in slot supports for other units and they also just so happen to work with Jing Liu but without really buffing her dmg significantly. What would be more beneficial to her are units that want to have their hp drained like blade. I think dual dps comps are where she will get her significant buffs from since she is currently the only unit that drains the party's hp

That fast that it hurts her at the start in this previews, but its just bad built team, gallagher and hmc should be faster than firefly before she transforms, so they can use their buffs like ruan mei or decrease toughness But its normal, without substats she would have 140 speed or 150 if ruan mei, but here is 160-170 which is crazy

I noted down both teams % damage (So only Argenti's damage would be considered) and found that Firefly deals almost the same as a fully set up Acheron (78% Acheron vs 72% Firefly) In fact, Acheron has the lowest Main Damage, but also the highest (Due to gaining two buffs between the two ults, I assume), this makes Firefly's average damage look a bit better in comparison (59.5% Acheron vs 63% Firefly) Other interesting quirks between the two teams are the huge difference in personal damage (163% Acheron vs 194% Firefly), meaning teammates (23%) and or swords (14%) contributed to Acheron's side a bit more. You'd assume a HMC team would contribute just a bit more, but they only deal damage when Argenti's weakness broken, and Firefly immediately kills him when he's weakness broken. Lastly, this isn't related to any maths at all, just self affirmations that my MotP-less RM works, but because the way Firefly works, 1/2 DDDs are enough to push her back to the 28th cycle (And I'm sure she does not need the extra break HMC provides or RM's personal breaks, since she overkilled Argenti by a lot), meanwhile even though Acheron's in the same AV range, her team won't let her get DDD'd Notes: Acheron's 2nd ult gets overkilled by way too much and wasn't accounted for, I'd assume it did ~77% damage and would bump up her average to 65.3). Similar cases for Firefly's 2nd Non-Break Superbreak damage since all I see is a cloud of numbers and chances are a lot of numbers are lost to overkill since they won't proc if Argenti's dead

@@ABC-yj6cy Tbf I have the same experience. Both E0S1. Acheron is at 85/191 on battle (97 crit rate with Fu Xuan). Both are using 3-cost comps (BH using E0S0 RM and Acheron using E0S0 SW) and in my experience, BH performed better. 1 cycle clear is very easy on BH on the previous MoC (so no BE trotter buffs) while Acheron for me took 3 cycles average.

There are a few things to consider in this comparison. For one Aventurine is only Acheron's best sustain when he's E2S1. Prior to that Gepard provides more debuffs through higher taunt for Trend and debuff on skill (especially at E1 when it *very* consistently freezes). There's also a discussion to be had about Sparkle vs a third nihility, it can go either way there depending on enemy and relics etc. Also in Firefly's team it's not just her dealing damage. Everyone is a DPS. Hell even Gallagher was hitting nearly 100k autos with the super break. I do believe team damage wise Firefly gets bigger numbers. It's more flexible in the sense that you can rely on your other teammates to deal with stragglers on the sides or when they have a minor but not insignificant amount of health left. As for who is the better DPS in the end... I think it still goes to Acheron for her consistent damage output but I think they are very close.

firefly is acheron but if she uses break rather then crit dmg cause their ult's work the same where it ignores res but it's a transformation instead of an attack ( also mono fire is usable in any team cause the technique

@@_EndlessVoid We have a solution for enemies with high effect res cause we have many debuffs which are guaranteed to hit, like Gallagher's ultimate, Pela's Skill(E4), Acheron's crimson knot, etc.. but we still don't have a character to deal with enemies who lock their break bar

Better stay for Acheron she’s already busted without her dedicated support, Jiaoqiu will really turn her into a nuclear bomb + she’ll get stacks extra fast her ult does so much already. I never ever liked Midfly so she’s an easier skip than Jade + i pulled for BH so i need RM and I’m going for Jade. Looking at leaks the only break type support is a healer so HMC is practically made for FF she has a relic set and planet ornament made for her you can argue that Acheron has it to but her relic and ornament can work with other units.

Which is like 5 enemies in the game in total, all of them has mechanics to get rid of toughness lock/can be broken before they are able to lock it. She even cleared SAM, who is initially locked from the start of the battle, in 2 cycles, so no, its not a big deal for her

Break character is a little weird cause break character like firefly and boothill stats do no dmg but for some reason makes sense when you break them you see the enemy hp drop to nothing with no dmg?

basically, characters like firefly and boothill can retrigger the damage you get from breaking an enemies' toughness bar, making them really strong if you can do that cuz that can be anywhere from 10,000s to 100,000s of damage!

actually over 1M damage because Firefly takes 2 turns when she breaks/kills. She also gets her ult faster than acheron just 2 turns and in some cases only 1 turn if Gallagher had quid pro quo and if she got hit multiple times/killed more enemies. But overall Acheron just smashes everything even without breaking enemy weaknesses, Firefly just can't deal any damage when enemies have the toughness shield thing like Gepard. So I think Acheron is more future proof because there are some cases where Firefly's damage is non-existent but is more fun to play in my opinion because she takes a lot of turns, like 8 turns per cycle and you see huge super break numbers and hey breaking enemies also means taking less damage. Man I wish crit build was viable, that way she's more flexible, well . . . it is what it is.

Okay, I hate to be that guy, but there were some crucial misplays during Firefly side, breaking the trotter with Gallagher's ulti, wasting Action Advance and not having his ulti to break Argenti on turn one, which would save her like 2-3 actions, also those calcs don't include Firefly team damage- in her team everybody does damage, while in Acheron team only Aventurine does a little bit, also Acheron team has 2 limited 5*, while FF team has only 1 limited 5*. Concluding all that- Firefly supremacy all the way

They made it too easy that there is no point even pulling new dps right now.
