Firehouse Subs (Firehouse of America, LLC) is a U.S.-based, fast casual restaurant chain founded in 1994 in Jacksonville, Florida by former firefighter brothers Robin and Chris Sorensen.
To date, Firehouse Subs has opened more than 1,095 franchise restaurants across 44 states, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Mexico.
In 2005, Chris and Robin Sorensen created the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation providing funding, life-saving equipment and educational opportunities to first-responders and public safety organizations. Since its inception, Firehouse Subs and its customers have donated more than $29.5 million in 46 states, Puerto Rico and in Canada through Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation of Canada.
History
Brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen followed the same career path as their father, Captain Rob Sorensen, a 43-year veteran of the Jacksonville Fire & Rescue Department in Jacksonville, Florida.[3] After a few attempts at various business ventures they opened a restaurant, Firehouse Subs.
On October 10, 1994 the first Firehouse Subs restaurant opened in Jacksonville, Florida. The restaurant was successful and by 2001, the company became debt free.

FYI. I live in NH. Montreal is my favorite city in Canada. But Toronto, is also one heck of a great place with great people. Love you’re sharing your experiences with us here in the USA. I have gone to Firehouse Subs twice and both times got the brisket sub. I love the sauce on it and the meat is so good. The second time I added Banana Peppers it brought the flavour up exponentially.

I love "Stripes". One of my favorite Bill Murray and Harold Ramis flicks. Amazing cameos of Canada's own beloved, John Candy as well. Can't go wrong with Firehouse Subs. Albeit a little pricey, the food is quite good, and they use fresh ingredients, and are very warm/welcoming whenever I visit my local location here in the States. I've never had the Meatball, and I must say; it looks amazing!! Definitely outdoes Subway in every facet. Great review as always Ken!

There's nothing on the menu about it but there's like 3 different types of meatball sub options on the cash register(regular meatball, sweet and spicy meatball, and the pepperoni). The bbq sauce on the brisket is sweet baby rays.

LG steamer on white, add raw onions. Turkey back ranch is good, but better with the chicken. It's a shame that the chicken is diced now instead of the filets. The steak is always a good choice. Me personally, I like no sautees, add raw onion, extra onions. Mixing the A1 sauce and gator hammock go good with it.
