I think another reason for making that $100 last for a long time 20-30 years ago is because people played slower. Single line and lots of Jacks or Better? Machines were slower. Feeding the machines was slower. Pay tables were great everywhere. People had to analyze their dealt hands instead of memorizing holds with all the info and trainers we have now

in the 80s and 90s there were only single line games using 5 coins. Now 3 line and if you want the multipliers it will cost you more. Stay with the single line full pay.

I played nickels the other day bc I was losing so bad on higher denoms. I was happy when I hit a hand that paid me a little over $100. Money back and in my pocket for next time.

Same dissatisfaction in Colorado unfortunately. Used to take $80-100 ---- now $200-300 and generally come home empty.
