Scaltra Volpe Yup, if the show was run by some algorithm and/or the host/audience could vote for who was the weakest link, that would probably help with the scheming. As it is, the smartest thing to do is to get them all correct but stay below the radar. Let the bigshots take the spotlight, then when you hit the final 3 your best bet is to vote him/her out so it's you and hopefully someone either just as intelligent as you or someone the bigshot decided to keep for the easy win.

Just because some people do the job for money doesn't meant they're not a hero. Many people are volunteer firefighters - and sometimes they go professional. It's not because of the money. Remember, hero doesn't necessarily mean 'nice guy' - a jackass can take the title, too, and sometimes even deserve it. I can't judge a man's heroism - or lack thereof - from four minutes of his participation in a game show.

Those are the ones you really have to watch out for. The ones who jump to screaming, insulting, and jumping all around are trying to hype themselves up for the fight. Those that are all cool, calm, and collected are confident about their abilities and/or know something you don't (backup, weapon, martial arts skills, etc). Same goes for Drill Sergeants by the way. Everyone thinks the worst parts are when they are seen screaming and yelling. No, it's the opposite. It's much worse when they walk up to you relaxed and just explain things coolly. Those conversations are brutal. Explaining things like how the person was, is, and will always be a total failure and embarrassment, how the Drill has eliminated others like them in the past, and how they might just do it again should they feel like it. Yeah, I'll take the screaming, yelling, and "henpecking" instead any day. Edit: The fact that they would explain it the same way that they would explain their skillset and what could be learned didn't help either. If you're curious about the tone, imagine the tone you would use while explaining cooking a dish you are familiar with. The only difference is that conversation is about death and destruction. "I have, I can, and I want to again."
