I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back to my school. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real, it's impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me; it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!! HE LIVES!

I heard this song on klove with the spoken word mixed into the remix and the pastor spoke on how three were in the fire but four were present. This was affirmation that God is with me and my two boys as I go through fires of separation after a 16 year marriage. God is in it with me. I will not be afraid. I had a dream recently where I was in a room with a girl and two men. The woman was sitting in a chair, and the two men were telling her Jesus/God wasn't real. I stood up and said, "Jesus is Lord." The two men immediately took their attention off the woman and said intimidating words to me, trying to get me to retract my statement. I looked at them without hesitation and said, "Jesus is Lord." The two men suddenly changed from men to two demons with burning skulls/flesh, and they started to approach me. I was still standing tall and firm and said, "Jesus is Lord." I woke up after, but I knew the message behind my dream. Demons might be able to tempt us, make us feel fear, or put twisted thoughts in our minds, but Jesus is always with us. Those demons were approaching a cub that had a Lion standing right behind him, and they knew that. Don't ever let fear deceive you. God is always with you.

Wow I have the chills reading this because I too have had a crazy dream recently that I was in my house, and i had a feeling that something was in my house (kinda like living there). So I told my husband to go look upstairs. But he came right back down with the most terrified look on his face which I’ve never seen on him even in our life. I told him “there’s something here isn’t there!! We must declare it and make it leave!!” As I’m walking up stairs I see a huge shadow presence and I say presence because although it looked like a shadow you couldn’t see through it. You could tell it was strong and it was looking down even though it was clear it didn’t have a face. What got me about it was the fact that it just seemed unbothered. Like “yea I’m here and what!!!” So I’m running towards it to tell it to get out in Jesus name! And the closer I get the harder it gets as if I’m being pushed with so much force! And the words “get out in Jesus name” wouldn’t come out of my mouth. As this is happening I can feel my body outside of the dream as if there is a 50 pound weight on my chest. But in the dream I was determined to fight this and finally I was able to say and I screamed it not only in my dream but out of my dream. Ephesians 6:12 that’s why we put on the full armor of God 🤍

We had a house fire a little over a month ago in the nastiest spell of winter weather. My wife and I were at home, but I panicked, but when I realized I didn't know what else I could do, I prayed to God "Please don't let my house burn down, please give me an option to save my house." The panic subsided and I remembered the water hose on the back porch. He gave me the courage to fight my house fire, and my house still stood after the flames were out. He's walked me through the fires of addiction and a real fire. Jesus is with us in all kinds of trouble and faithful to deliver us.

But this verse is special to me not because of the show but because Jesus' presence in my life is as real as presence of any other person I know. He has chosen me, called me, He pulled me from the bottomless pit, He saved me, He transformed me, He broke the chains of addiction and sin in my life, He gave me new heart and every single word from that verse applies to me personally as Jesus' follower. When I was passing through the fires He indeed was close like no other, holding my hand tightly and looking back I see that it's only by His grace I passed through, kept my faith and fell in love with Him even more. He is so good! ♥

God's mercy is shown over and over in it. That verse just reminded me of Mary in The Chosen❤ The last 6 months have not been easy. 3 years ago i lost contact with my 6 year old great granddaughter who we had raised almost full time from birth. Her mom got mad and walked out of our lives. I was devastated. 20 years ago I heard God's voice tell me He will walk through the fires with me, not knowing a few minutes later I was told my Mother died from suicide. 20 years later I'm driving in my car and I hear this song and God is telling me He is still walking through the fires with me. I was diagnosed with melonoma cancer a few days ago and the fear of the unknown has taken over until I heard this song!!! God has me!!

We had a house fire this past summer less than 48 hours before we were supposed to move into our house that we had been renovating for 6 months. When we got the call from the fire chief to come immediately because our house was on fire, I was driving down the highway to see our burning house when this song started playing on the radio. I had never heard this song before that and just had Christian radio on in the background while I was driving because my mind was numb. My ears perked up when I heard the chorus and I felt like God was speaking to me directly that He would walk through this fire with us. Anyways, thanks for your song. Just wanted to share how God has used it.

I started hearing this when my only brother was dying. This song played at his deathbed brought his wife and me such comfort we played it at his memorial. Lord saved him from death 19 times that we know of, even waking up in a morgue after being pronounced dead. After a surgical error, he said he woke up in the darkness and he was very cold. He said, Jesus what happened? Then two hands touched him and warmth 🔥 poured into his body. He was one of the toughest men to walk the earth. We had a rough start, but he was a kind loving man who loved God and his family. His body just gave out after 60 years and now he’s no longer suffering. Glory HalleluYah! 🔥🖖🏻🔥 Before he died, he said, “God is coming for me.” Then, “I’m with God” over and over… Bless you brother for this song. I was suppose to be married this past May 2021 but instead God protected me from a potential broken marriage before it started. Though I say that with confidence… The fires some days at work, church, home, etc. where I felt like I was suffocating - “barely breathing” due to the magnitude of fires surrounding me of heartache, depression, pain, doubt, brokenness, anger…. I listen to Air1 (a Christian worship radio station) in the United States. After I listened to it shortly after the song came out I was impressed! I then watched the music video a couple times, not listening to the full lyrics, then today I came over here and found this lyric video and the lyrics hit me deep because I am going through a trial (a fire) right now after loosing a good friend (I am only 16 he was 16 too) that I knew for 3-4 years because of incurable cancer in February. I am so stressed, sad and angry right now at God for taking him so early, but when I listened to this song I am reminded that it doesn’t matter what trials your going through, God is there for you all the time. ❤❤❤Thank you for writing, performing and sharing this song with the world, Jordan! ❤❤❤ - In the midst of the chaos & danger, there is peace because God is there with us! (Additional comment and comments below are only by Deborah R Culver 1/20/2024) Some of my earliest memories, are of seeing an ocean storm, coming towards the shore, and battering against the black rocks in Gloucester, Massachusetts, when I was younger than one year old in 1962/1963. Even now, seeing that image brings peace to my mind, heart, and spirit. reasons are many, but are basically twofold. One, I was a tiny little girl riding on my Daddy's shoulders, who was experiencing the love my Daddy had of the beautiful storm, high winds, crashing waves, and the huge, immovable cliffs, that no matter how hard the storm, battered and raged against the cliffs - the rocks remained, and would not be moved! I still get a thrill when storms come through even to this very day. (My Daddy would take me out for a walk after a storm was subsiding to see this beauty and still feel the thrill of the storm, but, in relative safety. Even so, my mother was afraid for us specially, for her baby girl, who the doctor said was a miracle baby and that she would have no more children! So, because of my Daddy's love for my mother, we stopped, taking those after storm walks.) Two, although, at my young age, I didn't know it then, but what I was seeing, and experiencing was a picture of God, His great love for us, His protections for us, that if we rest on Him, in Him, and in His presence, He will protect us from all harm. That as long as we cling to the ROCK (Him), we might get battered, we might get bruised, we might get wet, we might go through a scary and frightening experience, but we will get through it, but we will grow through it in the trust of our God - that no matter what we face, we can have peace in Him in the midst of what the world would say makes no sense and believe it to be insanity to not feel fear. As it says 365 times the Bible, "Do not fear!" (For I, the Lord your God, am with you.) So, although I didn't get to see the calming of the storm as the disciples did with Jesus in the boat on the Sea of Gallilee. Instead, I walk with Jesus and God, who has the power to stop the storm, or stop the storm from hurting me, and most of all to give me peace in the midst of it all. (All this from the first song I heard in the radio this morning on Way FM 101.9 Denver/93.9 N. Colorado)
