I put this loss completely on Daboll. Gano was playing through an injury and questionable all week, yet had no backup kicker. Three touchdown's, should have been three points. Also, Darius Slayton dropped that 2 point conversion. A drive ended that would have been three. That last drive wouldn't have needed to put Nabers in that situation if Gano was healthy. I think they would have had 9 more points than they finished with. Granted, the D couldn't do anything to stop them from outside the redzone. Singletary had a big fumble. Multiple brutal, drive ending drops were a killer. It wasn't a perfect game, but the offense absolutely did enough outside of not having the option to kick. But no kicker also influenced how the Commanders ran their offense. They knew it was touchdown or nothing once Gano was out and Gillan missed that extra point. This was a true heart breaker, considering the Giants should have had 28. Jones would have had 200 plus if there wasn't any drops and possibly another throwing touchdown in the last drive.

Slayton and Nabers had 2 huge drops that really decided the game. That being said, Washington got beat up last week vs a playoff team(Tampa). When we play playoff caliber teams we are going to get beat up on. Our secondary couldn’t make a stop or tackle on 3rd down and that killed the clock and the momentum.

Your right, the red zone defense was fine today, the big reason why they were so good in the red zone was because Washington kept shooting themselves in the foot, they should’ve left with more touchdowns. While defense was mostly bend no break today, they bent a lot more than they should’ve and it was costly, we gave up a ton of third and longs and opportunities to get off the field. Tbh I kinda disagree about kayvon being a ghost this game. They were getting the ball out very quickly so the pass rush never really got there but when they did drop back kayvon was getting to the qb. He still threw it quick anyway but kayvon was doing good. Burns on the other hand not so much. Kayvon though was getting around his guy a lot they just threw it so fast every play. He might have combined for a few sacks. You lost me soon as you said the defense wasn't the issue. i was at this game front row. if Wash offensive line doesn't have those false starts those fgs turn into touchdowns. we couldn't stop th run. this was a known issue going into the season. the lack of DT /DL talent and depth. that's on Schoen however the coaching deficiencies shown in 2 consecutive weeks. If the seat is not hot on Daboll it will be in a month. I just don't see giants getting a win until they play Washington again.

Daboll is now strongly looking at 0-6. If achieved with similar inept mistakes like not carrying a second kicker predisposed groin problem Daboll should be fired. His body language shows he cannot organize our Giants to win games. DJ proves every week he is not a NFL Qb. DJ doesn't place the ball consistently within the catching radius of his WR and RB's. I thought our Giants would end up 5-12. I cannot see that mark. I feel if they start off 0-6, they will digress to 1-16 or 2-15.

Ok anthony your Daboll Hatred is bleeding through your analysis. The defense was horrible today. Bend don't break and we kept them out of the end zone? Most of that was because of Washington penalties shooting themselves in the foot. 7 Field goals, not one forced punt and almost 40 minutes time of possession. 215 yards rushing for a DC who was supposedly hired because of his ability to stop the run. When your rookie nickel is leading in tackles because the D line can't get anything done that is poor play. 7 of 14 on 3rd downs but the 7 they didn't convert were the field goals. So where is the quality play. As for the offense and Jones being OK, he was at best a back up that had a week to prepare to start. As you said his whole game was Nabors YAC. How many times did we see him overthrow and throw into coverage when you can literally see the other receiver open in the reads. There was much more meat on the bone that Jones left for the offense. I agree the kicker bull was sheer stupidity, and what the deal is with the roster and call ups between Daboll and Joe is and if it has to do with the cap or not.

Teams do NOT carry 2 kickers on thier roster. Gano had a groin issue his injury was a hamstring not related to the groin. The Lions had a similar issue in a game when Suh was their and Suh was sent out to attempt a FG. The Lions lost that game by a FG. Mark Schlereth said during the broadcast that he was on a team that had the same problem with a kicker getting hurt and needing to go for 2 every time.

This defensive scheme is just like Patrick Graham's scheme which is terrible. To much zone coverage on 3rd downs especially 3rd and short you need to be able to play man press. You can not get pressure on the passer when guys are running free in the secondary. Or when it's 3rd and 1 and you give a 5 yard cushion so a quick WR screen is a free first down you can not win with that kind of defense.

No having an available kicker is inexcusable. They barely played well enough to win, but it was the difference. Daniel Jones still cannot hit a target on a screen, it's ridiculous.

I’ll say it again…Schoen worst error was not picking up DJ 5th yr…led directly to that awful contract which led to passing on a QB multiple drafts which led to so many other bad things.

This loss in on the Defense and Defense alone we drove the ball down 4/5 times we got it. then the punch happened and we were driving on them too. To say this is Dabolls fault is wild.
