Time to get some brush gear sucks wearing turnouts for a wildfire and where is that members coat?
@gsarjos27 күн бұрын
And what is the point of wearing a coat for a brush fire? this is a simple brush fire, not a wildfire
@Lemonman1-v2f27 күн бұрын
@@gsarjos yeah you dont need a coat for that

What is that beep sound
@Rydied27 күн бұрын
Probably a seatbelt alarm. I've never been on a fire truck that didn't have a broken seatbelt alarm.

This was an excellent video and we enjoyed the helmet cam as well. I didn't notice any air support, does your department have such a division? Greetings from Lancaster, California.
@haroldenglish94327 күн бұрын
Air support? You need to get out of Kommiefornia-ville and explore non-socialist states.
@SussexStation4825 күн бұрын
Lancaster County does not need air support unless its a big Forest Fire. This fire was not that big.
@benvarga608925 күн бұрын
In Pennsylvania, we typically will not call for air resources on fires under 200 acres. We also rarely run fires larger than 200 acres. This fire was probably about 10 or less acres.

Sending engines to brush fires is so foreign to me. Out in the lower midwest, we usually have all the ex-military vehicles converted to fire apparatus to put on wildland stuff. Lots of respect to the departments that handle brush fires well with the big engines.
@Rydied27 күн бұрын
They have a TAC unit (AKA a brush unit), I'm guessing the engine was dispatched to grab a hydrant if possible, or supply the first in engine

Over here in central Missouri we call em brush trucks lol
@MillerStark111616 күн бұрын
@@Haydenwolf344 I think most places in the midwest call them brush trucks lol. We certainly do.

where I live in Texas when there's a small brush fire or something related to that they send the engine with 1 tanker and 3 brush trucks
@LillyNeonVT10 күн бұрын
So in Pennsylvania where they at and myself we dispatch engines and brush trucks but most departments don’t have any brush trucks as most are volunteer fire departments and some have state funding some are community funded And yes before you ask I am a volunteer fire fighter in SWPA
