I have the UltraQ also, although the UltraQ has some additional functions, the Inkbird works just fine and at the price point it is at is a MUCH better value... Thanks for watching!

the small adapter is for kamado Jr. kettle use a bowl shape adapter. If you want to carry it to a place without power source. you can use a 12v battery to power it.

Will the smaller adapter fit in the hasty bake original vent holes? I have a legacy and would rather not drill a hole. Seeing if the smaller adapter will fit and cover the other vent holes with flue tape

you can use it on the kamado joes, but the Master built has its own temp controller and fan, I would not know if you could use this instead on the MB..

I using this on a wsm. I having trouble with it controlling temp. When starting it the fan is set to 0% and takes long time for it to come up. By the time it gets up to where it needs to be the smoker has cooled down and fan goes to 100% than takes a while to heat back up and than goes to 0% and just keeps repeating. I think if fan would start around 50% it would work. I have tried setting on 50% manually but as soon as go to auto fan drops to 0%. It just goes from 0 to 100 once this process starts.

where is the fan pointing? are you using the water pan in the WSM? is the fan able to hit the coals?

I emailed InkBird and to their credit admitted there was problems with the notifications being “unstable” and they will rectify the app as soon as possible.

that all depends on the smoker/grill you use it on.. the fan can only do so much, the rest depends on the design of the cooker and how it is set up... you can use it as a stocker to get your fire hotter faster for sure..

you will find it very hard to find any of the IOT devices that support 5g... 2.4g has a wider coverage range.. if you have a mesh system where you have problems with 2.4ghz devices there are a few ways to get them to work..
