With the LogOX Hauler as a solid base platform, we knew there had to be a way to amp up its versatility. After lugging a separate pulp hook, timberjack, and cant hook into the woods year after year, it only made sense to consolidate the three tools. With that in mind we decided to use quick release hitch pins, instead of typical hex screws, to integrate a full 38” cant hook extension and timberjack into the design. The Hauler’s unique handle makes this design the only cant hook/timberjack on the market today to provide an additional control point.

Doug have you used the logox already? Seems like a lot of small pins that could get lost. Do they have a secure place to store them in the duffle bag? I like the ingenuity of the tool I would just worry about dropping one of those pins on the forest floor and not being able to find it. I put extra pins for my climbing tree stand in my pockets for that same reason..

Hi Ben, Austin from the LogOX here. To answer your question, the LogOX has three main connection points for its attachments, one for the cant handle extension and two to attach the timberjack T-Bar attachment. While the custom bag we sell does have four large internal velcro pockets, designed for storing smaller gear items like a chain sharpener, chainsaw scrench, or other PPE, we recommend simply reattaching the clevis pins to the cant handle and T-bar attachments when they're not in use. We know tool parts can get misplaced and the forest floor is an unforgiving place to drop things (which is also why we made the tool bright orange), so we designed the LogOX to use inexpensive standard 3/8 x 2-1/2 clevis pins, which you can pick up in any hardware store should you happen to loose one, or carry extras if you like.

LogOX That is so brilliant of you guys! I don't heat with wood BUT I do chop my own for my little home pit. I think I'm going to snag some of your gear. Ive had 7 major back surgeries and rods and screws up and down my spine. Splitting wood (even on a wimpy ole granny scale, lol) is exercise and well just fun. LOL It'll take me time with my budget. We designed our forestry multitool in the woods of Vermont, where we've tested it out on more that a few chilly days, and it's worked just fine. There's an old country saying that goes, "make hay while the sun's still shining," and I'd say that same wisdom is good advice for harvesting firewood.
