I used to cut 40+ cords a year on my days off. Didn't even have a wood stove, just needed an excuse to go fishing and it's a great source of extra income. I absolutely loved bucking logs. I have a trailer that I bought them built up. Added 2500 lbs last springs to either side, flipped the axle to get more clearance, larger tires...I could haul 10k in that (4x8) and when empty I could pick the tongue up one hand and move it anywhere. Perfect wood hauler. That and my poor little half ton pulling two cords at a time out of the mountains. It all ended when I crushed my sciatic nerve in 2017. I've been running my saw all winter though, just not able to pull those full days off cutting like I used to. Gathering firewood was, is one of those meditation type of jobs for me. Nothing like putting my ears on and having nothing but the wood in front of you to worry about.

I went to school with a kid that had Down syndrome and he was one of my best buddies I still see him from time to time and he always remembers playing football at lunch because we always made him quarter back or have him run the ball for touchdowns! His brother played for the Oregon Ducks so they were a big football family! And miss Gemma is our number one fan who we love dearly

I use that husky 4lb from Home Depot as my primary splitting tool. I love that thing. And they have a lifetime warranty on it.

Fir is in the pine family so you need to differentiate what kind of pine you are talking about.

Brown up some hash browns, sausage put it in a cast iron skillet then add some green & red bell peppers along with onions and throw it in the over with shredded cheese over the top until the cheese starts to melt then crack some eggs on the top and throw back in till they are cooked
