OH my GOD if I had a dollar for every time something like that has happened I wouldn't need to sell firewood!!! I just yesterday hooked up my dump trailer and hooked to my truck with the 2 inch ball instead of the 2 5/16 inch ball. I then loaded a full cord of wood and headed down the road. After going down several steep inclines and curves it dawned on me that I had the wrong ball on my truck. I had to stop on the side of the road and unhook to switch out the other ball which I thankfully had in the truck. What a cluster that was. Thank you for your awesome videos and for including the mess ups.

My days of cutting firewood and over , I was cutting wood for my girlfriend's father every spring , he passed away this past Friday night a little after midnight (1/24/25) . Two days before he passed , him and I were talking about going out the end of March and marking trees to drop for next season.

Now you are speaking English. I don't understand. You are the only channel that does this. In the winter I spend more time than I should on KZbin. I did go out around noon and cut a pickup load of fireplace wood. There is a guy near mr that used to have a huge firewood stand. several years ago the stand vanished, but there was a huge pile of logs there. Last spring I saw the guy and asked him about the logs. He said he didn't have time to mess with them and was probably just going to burn it. I asked him if I could have them. He didn't care. I worked on them almost everyday spring, and fall. I don't know how many cords I have cut out of it but 50% of it was cherry and he put huge oak logs down and stacked on them. The trunks are at least 30-40' long and run from 3' across to 6 in. across. The wood is 8 years old. None of it is prime but it is great campfire and fireplace wood. I can back right up to the pile, cut logs that are up in the air and it takes 20 minutes to fill the truck. I am getting into some huge oak logs, but it will probably get me through this spring. It is what we burned in our fireplace all winter. Didn't have to burn quality wood and had great fires every day. My wood on my farm is too big and heavy for me. I cut them up and wait for young friends to come help me get them to the splitter. We run them through the 4 way and ten I can finish them when I have time.

yesterday I was working the wood, it got up into the 50's yesterday, but the ground is still hard frozen. Going across a hillside that normally poses no problem, the very top inch or so was turning into sloppy mud, with frozen below it. Tractor started sliding down the hill, peeling the sloppy mud off the top. I hate it when it gets like this... but thankful it's also finally melting most of the ice that we got 3-4 weeks ago.

the barbecue trailer jack is tall enough that it can't drop all the way onto the ball on my 1 3/4" hitch, so it's pretty normal for me to rest the lip of the hitch on the ball, pivot the jack to the road position, and then kick it down onto the ball. I've also corrected a misadjusted jack by standing a post under the hitch to take the weight off the jack.

I forgot to put the rear jacks down on my trailer when the trailer was not hooked up to the truck. I was loading my lawn tractor onto the ramp and the trailer went into a launch position. I hung on for dear life while I got past the center of gravity. I took a quick peek around and no one was outside to witness this new teeter totter. Then my phone rang. It was my late brother laughing his rear off. He asked if I had a nice ride. I forgot about the nine security cameras that are hooked up around the house. He lived in NC. We gave him access to the cameras so he could see what was happening here. That episode us a one and done.

Too many times! The one I remember the most is a time with the gooseneck deck over and had a guy pit 250 square bales of alfalfa on with his skid steer and hay grapple. When to get under the thing and no go for getting the jacks out off the ground with the added load. I had to have him bring his loader out and put the load onto the back of the trailer to push down on the back of the trailer to allow the pins to release.

Curious about pricing. Are there viewers that price their wood by volume to make larger purchases more attractive ? Example: Single face cord : $130.00 Two face cords: $245.00 1 cord: $375.00 ?
@waynetharp9 күн бұрын
It takes the same amount of time and cost to make each face cord...Why sell it cheaper in bulk??? Price breaks benefit nobody but the buyer. If you need $130 a face cord to make a profit and want to push bulk sales then price structure should be something like ...$180 face cord $300 for 2 Or $390 for a full cord.👍
