I like to use Maple for fire pit wood. Great burn, not too much heat, and does allow you to play in the fire more. Adding wood to the fire is the reason for a little pit fire. As for the Mulberry, i think someone gave you bad information. Mulberry burns like Oak, in fact I refer to it as "yellow Oak" or "Purple Oak" after it sets out in the sun enough. The yellow wood that snaps and pops a lot is Osage Orange, AKA Hedge, or Bois d'arc (bodark). In my humble opinion (the best heating wood in North America!) but it does pop a lot!

I think if you have the option to give them straight maple then I’d offer it. It adds nothing to your process if you already split maple. I totally agree that most people would be best served with a mix for the exact reasons you listed but you never know what people prefer, in fact that has taken me a while to learn that not everyone appreciates the same properties of a fire as I do. I say go for it!

Sorry to see the 17VS leave so soon. I think a mix of mini wood would be my preference

Hi Dan That Ash firewood looks Great and I think you should include in your Mini Split Package of Oak Ash Cherry and Maple Firewood 👍
@Back40Firewood3 ай бұрын
The only problem with Ash making it into mini Firewood is that it’s kind of stringy and doesn’t split very clean.

Yes and you have to Make The Best for your Product ‼️ and That' Probably Wouldn't be Up to Standards for Your Company So I Guess Ash Would be Boiler Wood 👍

Do your customers even know the difference in types of wood? Not all...but the majority of mine just want some wood that will burn and look at me like I am speaking a foreign language or a wood nerd when talking about wood types and their own characteristics! It would definitely make life easier on you if all you sold was mixed hardwood. Anytime a order comes in. You box up whatever is on hand and ready to go!👍

That's how it is for me for sure. Customer doesn't care as long as it burns. That's why to me, all wood is bundle grade wood! 😂

Surprisingly many of the table top fire pit burners seem to know the difference between their species of wood… Although they mostly only know of oak and cherry… Lol

Mulberry is great firewood. Save it for the boiler (if you have any more).

That’s where most of it went when I split it was in the pile for my personal burning use or boiler wood. 😀
