Your welcome. But what if the solenoid is missing? Technically key would just be a kill switch right? Haha yeah I leave the clutch/brake pedal safety switch hooked up so I don't start in gear cause I know I would . Have a great day sir. These machines are relatively easy to modify even though they have two belts. KZbin user fearlessfront had an idea of putting a 6-speed in the back instead of the F&R. I've had similar ideas but never found a clean candidate.

oh and chud, i have that SAME exact yard machine ( the green one ) and the straight pipe does sound good, but after about a week of driving it, once you let off the gas the engine will cut off ( no back pressure to open up the valves ) but when your riding it for that week its fun as hell with all that backfiring !!

I have a similar mtd project right now. Trying more so for speed it’s only a 10 horse Briggs motor and I pulley swapped it. (Flipped the front pulley upside down so the one for the deck is a drive pulley) and a small pulley in the back but hardly any torque now. Any advice? Also mine is straight piped with dual stacks out the hood. It sounds awesome.

If u can get me a rear end I'll give u a 17.5 briggis with both valves haveing steel push rodes head cleaned gasket replaced for no reason steel rodes and value adjustments and I have two motors of the same brand and hp but this one has and oil filter on it if u can get me the exact.rear end I need I'll by concidence give u both of them lol

You only need to to shut it off, you could use a toggle switch or pull the spark plug wire off... good luck and thanks for watching.

If you are talking about the ones off of the car, if they are 25 inches tall, and on 14 inch wheels, then there isnt enough sidewall flex and you wont get very good traction, the got pretty good traction on the car, but the car weighs a lot more than the lawn mower does

Had a friend with a car a long time ago. He had a dead battery and these guys were helping up push start it. We tried about 10 times and they were ready to give up. He said, let's try one more time and it fired right up. When we got in the car, he said, the key was off... he needed the Einstein award that night... thanks for watching.
