This project had to flop because the style is not desirable to the elite. They don't want the youth to aspire to look like these young men(at the time) or talk like them. Another reason is the wordplay, the first bars alone. 200 fallen angels balling from every angle. That shit can't be mainstream in their eyes. One of the reasons why NY rap is dead. Too descriptive

The album flopped because every major label had their hand in the cookie jar, as far as that album goes. Nobody (The Labels) wanted to meet half way, when it came to splitting the money. So the labels just chose to dump the project. Look at the back of that album, there's a million record label logos.

I doubt it--Biggie & Jay were not only friends back then, but Big/Kim & Jay/Fox came out around the same time (1995). Also, Biggie wanted Foxy in Junior M.A.F.I.A., a fact attested to by Undeas (Another old friend/hustling partner of Big's who ran the label that Kim was signed to at the beginning of her JM & solo careers, Undeas Entertainment) and Foxy, among others, so if Foxy was such an 'imitation,' then why would Big want two of the same person in his group?
