It's so cute to see a young man discover a living legend :-) You must watch Les Miserables (the musical play - not the movie) 10th Anniversary and 25th Anniversary concerts - available on youtube or dvd. This should also open you up to the entire broadway musical genre where you will be exposed to vocal talents unparalleled in the pop world - both male and female. This particular musical art requires perfect diction and projection, let alone acting, dancing, and singing prowess. There are way too many broadway legends to even mention here... but I am excited for you to begin this journey. Lea Salonga is a broadway legend in addition to a Disney legend as she is the only one to have been the voice of TWO Disney princesses, which many have already stated in the comments.

Lea Salonga is a Broadway Royalty and Philippines national treasure. Les Miserables is one of the longest running musical on Broadway and West End history. She played both Eponine and Fantine in Les Miserables in New York production. She played the lead role of Kim in the original production of Miss Saigon in West End in London and won The Sir Olivier award for Best Actress in a musical. A year later, the producer brought the musical to New York and she again recreated the same role with much criticism because she is not a member of American Actors Equity as well as unknown being an Asian. But then she again won the Tony’s as Best Actress in a musical and the rest is history. You will need years to read and go through her achievements and accolades 😄

The only thing I could liken it to is if u've ever been to a really big gig, like U2 for instance & stood too close to the speakers,u can feel the music pounding through your body,my heart felt it was gonna burst out of my chest. I probably tried to explain what meant incorrectly,I didn't mean to. I was just trying to emphasise just what a true professional she is,not that the others are not,but she is a little older,she started young & just has so many more years experience behind her & I think this shows,particularly in live performances. Hope this explains a little better the point I was trying to make,albeit badly. I would never speak badly of singers that I dont really like(musically,not personally) nevermind try & degrade singers that I love

I have always loved the way theatre performers act oblivious to the applause after a number and just stay in character. This concert was full of top notch talent. Philip Quast will give you goosebumps performing Stars in this show. It had a few originals from the London cast. I believe Philip Quast was the second Javert behind Roger Allam. Of course what is there left to say about Colm Wilkinson, outstanding...…. Good stuff!
