I watch again and again all your tutorial videos since Jan 2020 in order to well prepare my next actual lesson on the water. Thanks to all your meticulous guidance about tricks, techniques. theory, experience, I feel very confident to jump in this lovely sport which is my dream many many years already! Thank you so much for all your effort, your hard work, your guidance and, last but not least, the very very professional videos you are making!

I have watched these videos probably 200 times, at least, and some in slow motion. But when I get on the water and crusing along and try to jump over 70-80% of them end up in crash landing- come down like a sack of potatoes! Somehow you make it so easy like walk in the park.. trying to jump needs 3 thinks simultanously and if one is out you are screwed- decent speed, bring the kite up, carve up and pull the bar. Man its not easy to master it. I have had over 500 jump attempts. Fear is what holds me back. Maybe if you are fearless or young then it be much easier ..In any case, your videos are excellent and for sure I recommend them to all my friends. Two years in to kitesurfing and now its my life ..

Hi Mo, no need to be scared just start with miniscule jumps. Here is the jumping tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n56aqY1tn8ysiNksi=6jVaeOOWYoar8_Ox

Like that tutorial will show you. You don't need to carve (just hold an upwind edge, and you don't even need decent speed, you can go in fairly slow).

Cool video! I started last summer and I can do all these tricks now accept the blind. Haven't tried that one yet. Many of these tricks I learned from your tutorials so I am very grateful!!! 🌊🏄♀️ I also enjoy your strapless and surf tutorials!

thanks a lot for the suggestion. Unfortunately I have tried many times and watched your videos umpteen times too. Bring the kite up, edge and pull the bar all at the correct time in less than a second is not easy to mater. I totally understand the principle of it. In fact I do go up 4-5 meters but most end up in crash landing. Two things cause the crash- kite is behind me which is because when I pull the bar I go heavy on the backhand. and the other thing is most/all of times I am up in the air in squat position and my feet or board are way ahead of me so I land on my butt or board slides in front. Nonetheless I keep practicing and watching your video - thanks a gain

Thanks Lori and hello from Alex, Christie, Brody and Cali. Christie certainly misses the warm water. We will have to come back for a visit when the kids are bigger.
Alex you should do a video on the adaptation of this basic tricks in chopped water condition, I would have this perfect flat water but it's always present at least a little chop that make things far more complicated, I think in particular for Pop and jump...
@kitesurfcollege4 жыл бұрын
Hello Gaetano. I remember when I started kiting. I would try new tricks in choppy water, and the chop would certainly throw me off and cause me to crash. When you are struggling with a new trick, you can't also focus on handling the choppy conditions, which make new things harder to learn. I typically develop new skills when the conditions are nicer. Once I master a trick (i.e. I find it very easy), then I find that I can do it in all conditions. It's not that I use a different technique, I pretty much use the same technique for a given trick, but because the trick has become easy I am free to also watch the conditions. I can spot a good launch area, and throw the trick in moments. Overall I would say make use of those nicer days to try and push yourself a little. On rough days, don't push much, rather practice what you can already do well and get used to those conditions. I always kite in rough conditions actually, 5m swell is typical at my home beach, last week we had 10m swell. The videos are not filmed at my home spot since there's no really no safe way to get a camera out there. We have to travel to places with a sand bank so the camera gear is protected, which also means the water looks beautiful and calm in the videos. What are you working on at the moment?
@GaetanoCrisci4 жыл бұрын
@@kitesurfcollege Yes good point Alex! at the moment I'm working on the pop and the jump, I'm understanding that I need some speed and wind, in the lower end side of the wind range of the kite is possibly more difficult to learn...

Big fan of your videos! They are so helpful for me to get through these early stages! Wondering, do you have any tips around learning tricks on your “other” side? I’m really comfortable learning things goofy but regular is so awkward. Should I learn everything both ways before progressing to the next trick? Thanks heaps!

When i jump steering kite to 12, do i need to pop? When i pop, do i need to put my weight on the back foot? Thank you, you are the best
@surfn-4 жыл бұрын
Popping and jumping are two different actions. Try mastering both independently before combining them. Once they are combined, you will add significant height to the jump - so be prepared for that. A little extra weight can be put onto the back foot for popping, but not much. Too much weight will slow your speed before you leave the water surface.

What trick unhooked should i learn after the ralley??
@kitesurfcollege4 жыл бұрын
It differs from person to person, but next would likely be raley to toeside, then unhooked backroll, then surface pass.
This is filmed on a temporarily flooded beach in Noordhoek, South Africa.

I was a really good listener, I was trying really hard on every discussion with my girl friend but we always end up arguing and unpleasant memories. However ever since I took an advice from a spiritual channel-er our arguing is almost to none and relationship is getting better as we are much happier than before. The channeler had shown me the importance of selective hearing.
