Alpine green was actually available on both the RG and SG last year… I looked at both and bought the RG. Beautiful color and I’ve yet to see another model on the road. I think Harley is going to have a rough year. New colors are ok. Dealers are packed with 2024s and they think a price increase is going to help sales? Rev max bikes are dead. I doubt many dealers will bother. I can get a one year old pan America for around $11k with almost no miles private sale. They desperately need to bring back the real sportster to get more people in the doors.

It will be interesting. A lot of Motorcycle manufacturers are having a rough patch. Ducati just filed for bankruptcy car dealers have tons of cars on the lots. A $2,900.00 Upcharge for paint My 2016 Yamaha FZ-07 was $7,400.00 on the road, all taxes and title. The Problem with HD & Indian are that their biggest shareholders are Black Rock and Vanguard. Agree, in 2019 a Moto Guzzi v85tt in UK was £11099 on the road, 6 years later the same bike with usefull upgrades is £11500 on the Road, they are built in Italy with high European overheads, I use the V85tt as a direct comparison to M8 softail and touring Harleys as the development level is similar. Harleys have gone up Over 40% in same time, definitely ripping off customers.

@checker3694 In 2017 a model year 2018 Street Bob 107 started at $14,499. The 2024 Softail Standard 107 starts at $14,999. That's $500 over 6 years. That's less than a 3.5% increase. That's under the rate of inflation. Compared the base 2019 Electra Glide at $18,999 to the 2025 Street Glide. You have added 10 cubic inches of power, water cooled heads, anti-lock brakes, traction control, top tier infotainment, upgraded suspension, 2 up seating and 6 years of 3%+ inflation. For me that's reasonable for the extra $8,750.

I didn't like having to adjust it every 5000 miles and as stated above I had the cable clutch on my 2013 snap hours from home and I said no more. The reason they dropped it from what I understand is people weren't servicing the hydraulic system properly every 2 years and thus the over heating of fluid issue. The price is extremely competitive for this class of motorcycle. I know it's fun to say they are outdated because people have said that about H-D for awhile but it just isn't true. Complete redesign of body including lighting, infotainment, Ride modes, Rider assist electronics, CVOs have VVT, and combine that with the fit and finish H-D brings to the table - this old talking point just isn't true. I'm not even bringing the Rev Max Pan America into the discussion yet.

@@MattLaidlaw and you shouldn't bring the Pan America into the discussion yet with all of its problems. What a disappointment that has turned out to be. They don't even hold 50% of the value by the end of the model year. You should know better than anyone all the electrical problems they had at the 2024 launch with all the RANDOM shutdowns while riding the new Glides. Harley as a company has gone straight to hell. Their management don't even ride bikes and have practically zero affiliation with the motorcycle industry. They are $15k bikes at best. They don't even come standard with inverted forks. With all the items you listed above, for $30k you should get all that and more. The larger CVO ST displacement motor, VVT, ride modes, Ohlin suspension, adjustable ride height, RDS etc. That's closer to a $30k bike, not this stuff. And I stopped at my dealer tonight to see the colors in person, not impressed. Nice, yes, but thousands extra for flames you can barely see? Please. I love your channel and your insight, especially your touring videos. But Harley hasn't cared about the consumer for a very very long time and it's a shame.

@@hunterslivesmatter8024The official consumer price index would disagree with your assessment on the price of Harleys. The price of the first Harley I ever saw was a 1976 Super Glide at $3,600. My new Chevy Nova I bought 2 years prior was under $3K. That $3,600 today is equal to $19,960. The closest bike today to that SuperGlide is the Softail Standard and lists for $14,999. You may not like today's prices, but in today's money your getting WAY more bike for your buck than when I first started riding.

All I see is a $2K bump of nothing. Buy used.

Vivo no Brasil, amo a Harley, mas o preço é muito alto aqui. Pessoalmente acho que acabar com a RK é um grande erro... o que você acha Matt???? 2018 foi o último ano da RK especial aqui

The RKS is the worst value. It needs SO MUCH added to bring it up to par. I’ve had 2 road kings .. love em ! Windshield, passing lamps, drop guards all around…. Love em ! I’m a road glide dude now .. but still have a 2008 FLHRCI for a bar hopper … sometimes I like that bike even more than my 124 FLTRX. It’s not as serious and is just a lot of fun. 16” Carlinis, woods555 cams, and a good pipe. Bring back the FLHR/FLHRCI! Also.. they did that ElectraGlide standard .. they should do a road glide like that .. a RG with no stereo or navigation.. for good value. The road glide is awesome bc how it rides !

Our friend Jerry Palladino says if you want a new Roadking get a police bike. Check him out, he explains how 😊

I was hoping that Harley would upgrade the Road King suspension to the new RG & SG upgrade, but they decided to be lame. Dealers in my area still have ‘23 bikes in stock. Harley is screwing themselves. Will NOT be upgrading from my ‘21 Sport Glide in white and chrome. I will rotate it with my Triumphs as usual for riding.

I was on the live last night so I got the news regarding the Road King then which as I fan of it I'm slightly disappointed but I wasn't ready for a new bike anyways lol.... awesome news for triglide owners with the blacked out trim options now available!!

Yeah I think a lot of people were expecting more than we got but I'm sure it will all come together over time.

For sure, I’m a RK owner. It’s a bummer the RK standard was the best value in the line, I think the RK Special is a little high for what you get. I was hoping the RK standard would make a comeback. They sell them as Police bikes, why not sell them to everyone? Last year I think the Street Bob was the best value in the lineup, waiting to see what happens this year.

There are still plenty of 2023 bikes on the floors up here in NorCal! I like the older style and went in to kick tires and was told they would give me a great deal on a 2023…. At MSRP was the deal!! They took off the “dealer markup!” What a joke. I just walked out. Good luck with even more new bikes. Can’t sell 2 year old “new” bikes. 😂
