Your excited rapid hand-clap(s) of joy gave me images of myself traveling. Seeing you spin 360 degrees on that empty stretch of beach, deciding it was safe to abandon clothes and feel the freedom.. was also a touchstone moment. Sending you massive wishes for all things wondrous, lots and lots of warm smiles, and hammock thoughts galore! Travel tip: Tie one or two wraps of string soaked in gas around the base of a wide mouth jar (mayonnaise) light it and rotate to heat the glass evenly. As soon as the fire finishes dip the bottom of the jar into a pale of water, the sudden temperature change will break the glass perfectly, your new chimney is ready! Fill a half coconut shell with sand, add a lit candle and finish with the chimney~ ✍)))

So good to see a woman slicing up a kiwifruit without taking the skin and best bit off first! As a Kiwi who knew basically ever inch of New Zealand in every season, Australia is mind blowingly vast! 20,000 beaches, 10,500 on the continent, 8,500 on offshore islands with many yours being the only footprint in the sand. Visiting family in Queensland, the sheer size of the original cattle station above, near Cooktown, bottom of Cape York then visiting cousins near Charters Towers and driving from the front gate forever to the homestead. It is like driving over the horizon! Your plan to see all of Australia makes me smile, it is so, so hard. I took 2 years, 50,000km in a vehicle nearly the same as yours, go anywhere and an EPIRB in case where phones don't work, and I say that I saw 50% of the good bits. If you turn right, you miss what is on the left and then you wonder if there is enough diesel in the 180l fuel tanks to retrace your path, to do a circuit or do I really need to get to next roadhouse to fuel up, get drinking water and food. The big saltwater crocs used to scare me too, just don't park too near water and assume that in any water in croc country, a big croc may be inches away, watching you, calculating how to grab you and you cannot see them! Even when you see a mostly dried up creek a 100k from the sea, the middle of nowhere, there is a pond of water that you stroll around, completely safe and confident until you spot the big croc cage trap and a warning sign. Just take care, be prudent and you can usually see where a big croc comes out, lives in the area. Trust your instincts but don't be too silly, enjoy a very beautiful country.

How awesome meeting the guys travelling the world. Not sure how old this is but they had to replace their motor just recently as it died in WA as I remember … some local helped them and let them stay at his property while all arranged. Think I’d prefer to be travelling in the Troopie! Like you we just tend to move or stay at places if we like with no real plan other than watching seasons as do not need to be caught in monsoon season and flooded in it drown the vehicle. Stay safe, love your vids and may run into you along the way ❤️✅🇦🇺

I had a bad experience with Holafly. Buyer beware. Great to see you on the road enjoying Oz and your Troopy. Lol, just don't pee near the water. Have a bucket on a string so you can stand back from the water when in croc hotspots. Even more Lol. Don't forget about the stingers and sharks. Tropics, gotta luv em. Sorta wrong time of the year to be going North. Beginning of the wet, humid/hot and cyclones. Careful don't get flooded/cycloned in when remote. Also croc mating/warmer time so males even more tetchy/active than in the cooler dry season.

The energy in a tank of diesel is the same amount of energy I use in a Qld summer with the air con going 24-7 for 3.2 months..A huge amount of energy to go for a drive. Australians emit per capita more than Americans, has hashtag van life come to an end when we take these things into consideration.

the environmental cost to extract lithium is greater than it is to pump oil, making electric cars no better, think the 79 series will live on for some time to come
@antonyjh123425 күн бұрын
@@bluechill4767 Who said it is even possible or wise to replace everything we have? The point is a halving of emissions is supposed to happen in the next five years or everything you have known is ruined. The bigger point of the oil we extract is how many people were killed to get it, we use oil daily that other people have been killed over and call ourselves free.
