Girl, don't free dive without a snorkel. A snorkel makes life so much easier and it enables the comfort of surface viewing what you need to see and explore. Yes a little foreign, yes needing the exhale breath to clear but life is much easier, much better with a snorkel. A human being floats but is heavy in the water and the sea is never totally flat calm and smooth, so a snorkel helps a lot. A snorkel gives you freedom!

Sending much love. Best of luck on your next leg. Looking forward to your next check in. Not sure if you are, but on my trips I always kept a written travel journal. Started off with just a very clinical input of my day. Departure times and stop times. Miles travelled. Routes traveled. Gas stops. Etc. Then it evolved into what I saw on the trip, good and bad things about route. But still noting the clinical stuff in the beginning. Next evolution was talking about my feelings and what I was going through(which obviously you to in your vlogs). The last evolution is that I started to add Polaroid photos in the journal. I guess that was because with the last few trips I put away the video camera and lived in the moment. I always ended with a synopsis paragraph was that journey meant to me. What I learned, how I changed. Sometimes it was weeks before I got to that for sometimes it takes time to settle and make sense. Maybe you are experiencing that juxtaposition of filming and sharing with all of us but still staying in the moment. For me I know I lost that ability with my last trips, because the artist in me started to pre-narrate my travels for the day. Not sure if this lands for you but if it does you are doing a great job balancing it. In my thoughts.

To get better sleep, meditate before bed. Or just sit up meditate instead of lying awake or poorly asleep. It helps me sleep better. It helped me a lot in the past with insomnia. Meditate 🧘‍♀️ babe ❤

After watching your video which was great by the way. I think your trouble sleeping is probably related to the stress and excitement… I’m not an experts but from experience, doing these kind of adventures can be challenging on the body because if the stimulation. However I have found that a good amount of physical exercise and a cold plunge in the evening helps calm the system down and with some magnesium and your head pointing north you should be getting some beauty sleep in no time. And as long as you a feeling safe which I know is not a small feat in Australia haha maybe have what you need on hand to feel safe (knife/machette, pepper spray, antivenum kit, or even a gun). From Yeppoon to the Daintree in 5 mins 🤔 so much to show in between. Nothing wrong with being croc wise though. I just a spent a week camped up on a beach up that way, and the 3am call for nature and the anxiety that goes with having to leave your tent and not be eaten is real 🤣

Cassowaries can be very nasty, territorial aggressive birds, not benign like emus and ostriches. OK to look at from a distance but best avoided up close where they may attack and ruin your day!
