​@jacquiewalters5171 I also got duped, didn't realize until I saw her video. I still don't have the original but looking at the granny squares showed in the box none of them are in the actual card. I looked for the squares she did in the video and none are in the dupe cards. It seems they are totally different.

@@royceglen7027 the dupes were very convincing and I was tempted especially as the official set was out of stock everywhere. Thankfully my local wool shop managed to get more stock earlier than they thought and I’m now the proud owner of a set. I’m yet to look at the cards though, as I’m trying to finish the many projects I have started!

Ok, so number for number they don’t match. But are the in the box somewhere? Someone else made a good point - do the dupe directions make the correct pics? I imagine so as someone else figured out where the dupe pics came from. Ps, new subscriber today, on my 3rd video.

There are not written step by step directions but they do give the diagram of the pattern on the card, what each symbol means and then a written description of how to do the more complicated stitches.

Oh I wish I had your yarn store here where I live! So lucky. I don’t know if it’s me or the yarn is hard to find I can’t seem to find a good yarn source anymore. The online stores always seem pretty limited stock or none at all. And where I lost a few yarn stores. Michaels is very limited selection. Is there a big delay on shipping or are they no longer producing as much. It’s so hard to get good deals on yarn for large projects.😢. I hope to try this granny square in a box project too. Looks great. 🇨🇦

I hate that for you. I’m not sure if they have stores in Canada or if you can order online from Hobby Lobby but I have tried other acrylic yarn and theirs is my favorite.

those squares that are on the dupe deck are actually taken from a book called The Granny Square Source Book. They are literally the same exact photos and diagrams except the book has written instructions along with credit to the original designer of the square. I'm not sure if that deck is put together by the same people that made the book, but i doubt that it is, unfortunately. Loved your video btw!

@@craftymompreneur i highly recommend it! there's not just one creator in the book there's many, many creators and all the squares are very unique. they range from beginner all the way to ultra advanced. Definitely worth a look in my opinion!
