I was lucky enough to see First Aid Kit live last summer. It was an open air concert on a warm evening and I was blown away. They sing every bit as pitch perfect live as they do on their recordings. There's something about their voices and the way they harmonise that cuts right through you. I've been to see hundreds of bands live over the years but they are up their in the top 10 best ever. That evening was amazing. When they played this, the whole audience was singing along and the atmosphere was fantastic. I don't know what this current style would be classified as---------maybe Indie Folk? But as far as I'm concerned this is the quality sound of the good American Country music of the '70's. Klara's voice is so wonderful and powerful. She is strange and familiar, sharp but soft and filled with a million intricacies that conjure up memories, familiarities and sweet nostalgia, even from the moment you first hear her.

takes ALOT for me to consider "subscribing" to anyone on this platform , but the talent of these girls has completely amazed me ....this is REAL talent not manufactured shit, they write amazing songs\melodies themselves they might not like it but i think they already write better songs than Emmylou or Grant or June or Johnny ....these songs are incredibly beautiful and the singing is perfection , they are winners all the way in my book

I’m from England and I love these voices!! That’s when you know someone is talented… someone on the other side of the world is touched by their voice. I adore these two. My favourite is silver lining… I play it on full blast on the way to work ❤ x

@nachaphuma All the people mentioned were/are famous country singers. Emmylou Harris (the only one still alive) is famous on her own and then also famously duetted with Gram Parsons. Gram is also mentioned in the song. He had a short career & life and was better known after his death. I'll be your June... refers to June Carter Cash who sang with her family The Carter Family. You be my Johnny refers to Johnny Cash, June's husband and very famous country singer who she also duetted with.

One day I'll listen to this song and won't have tears running down, but it'll be a long while still. It's their voices and the steel guitar and the romance in the chorus and the everything. Tack!

Joshua Tree, lots of dry ice, and sweet harmonies. Three of my favorite things.
