This program is VERY important and NECESSARY, not only to families with limited income, but especially to elderly and disabled people, who cannot get out easily and rely HEAVILY on their phone and/or internet to contact their doctor, get medications, call for transportation, contact family members, and many other things. This program includes PHONE and /or INTERNET services, which MOST people now REQUIRE to keep up with LIFE !!! Congress think twice before cutting the people off or we will consider cutting your political career OFF !! We will not consider you for re-election. YOU are to help and LISTEN to your constituents, wealthy or poor, which you are NOT doing! YOU ARE NOT DOING YOUR JOB !!! $95 Billion for OTHER countries, but NONE for US citizens ... WRONG !!

We, as a nation, need to stop spending funds on other countries and focus inward. Doing so is why we are losing the digital race. We focus so much on helping others that we are hurting our own people. The digital divide grows every time a decision like this is made. People who need the internet for work, streamers, and students, farmhands and the like- this will affect more than just the people who cannot afford it.

My daughter lives in MO. Her only real choice for Internet is the local electric co-op-they refused to take ACP. She is very rural. It is an hour drive one way to a decently paying job. She could work from if she had good Internet such as that provided by the electric co-op. Her only other choice is satellite internet. I have been working from home since 2014 and have yet to find a company that allows satellite internet-and yes, they can tell when you log in. ACP allows people to lift themselves out of poverty.

The rates are high once the introductory price expires. Some areas have only one provider, so that one company has a monopoly and charges whatever they want. There needs to be more competition and the ability to select different providers.

This is ridiculous! I'm just like the lady your interviewing. I'm just in another State! You had to have or show certain government programs your already on! I'm disabled and my issues will never improve! This is the only way for us to fill out Reapplications for certain programs we are already on And they are taking that away from us! I'm not getting it completely free With the ACP I still have to pay An amount. My bill comes out for may they want 3 times that amount. Keep calling your state rep or Senator tell the how feel & remind them next time they run for office how many low income & disabled vets retired and disabled American, will remember how this will effect their vote! The last President told us that if Democrat won groceries, gas and the Interest rate would go up everything would go up!

I call my internet provider and was told there is no help from them, they sure make enough money off everyone can’t see how there is no help for the low income families, we will continue to have internet but it will mean us just being more efficient with our money…. Doing with out something

Colorado here. I am canceling it as well. Single and childfree. I have more bills than others. I'll have to use the library. But then again it will be a great introduction agajn to NO distractions and no bad stuff coming into my house.

I live far out in rural and believe it or not we did not get full internet til last year 2023 very expensive and get this discount we rejoiced but now this is our last month of it back to no internet glad we used to it . Sad 😢 but, to have a short time to enjoy. Even with discount less than the bill went up 15.00 so no discount to high . Spectrum raise every month 😢

try going to your local library, mine (slcl/slpl) lets people get free hot spots and chromebooks. you have to return it ofc but you can renew it like a book!

This program needs to end as it's just corporate welfare. More than 90% of the ISPs in the USA already offer low cost internet for low income folks for between $10-$30 per month, they're just not advertised all that well.
