From what I read, you can either reduce the number of moving parts, or reduce the friction between them, to improve efficiency. I still need to research further, but I know this bit is true.
@mortum_potato61243 жыл бұрын
Funny thing is that this is probably the first hidden blade design. The mechanism is similar to the one used by Darius in AC Oddesey. The same blade is then passed down to Aya who later started its production when she and Bayek founded the Hidden Ones.

If you want it to he more practical,a good idea is the decrease the tension so it only activates at the peak of your hand motion so that way it doesn’t activate when you don’t want. If you want a quicker activation you can just pull the string itself

Nice to know that you are continuing to work. It would be cool if you came up with a blade escapement mechanism in which the elements on the finger would not be visible.
@jeremiahthornton79384 жыл бұрын
That's a mechanism widely used in the Assassin's Creed world. With this, you tense the muscles in your arm to press a little pressure plate on the base of the casing to extend and retract the blade.
@ГеоргийХололеенко4 жыл бұрын
@@jeremiahthornton7938 As much as this mechanism is used in the world of the assassin's creed, the thread with the ring that must be pulled back to eject the blade is still too noticeable. I am not trying to say that the mechanism is bad, I am pointing out its shortcomings in real situations. Even if you are searched with a simple pat and a metal detector from above and you somehow manage to hide this piece of aluminum or steel, you will still give yourself away when you shake hands with someone. Take off the flask, every time before you say hello and then, put it on, sometimes, either a fight starts, or someone is quietly killed. If it’s quiet, then okay, but during a sudden fight, when you don’t have time to bother putting the ring back on? In general, any good weapon should be invisible, deadly and convenient. Stealth is half strength, while lethality and convenience share the other half. If you constantly walk around with any weapon in your hands, like with a smartphone, then at least people will be afraid of you, and may even arrest you. If the weapon kills badly, then psychologically, people often try to take revenge. Do you need another reason to wait from someone in the back? It is more practical to kill immediately, and sometimes even more humane. Well, and convenience, since without it there is no sense in stealth and lethality. If you go kaposh, they will notice you and it's good if you manage to mortally wound, or they may notice the weapon and leave the line of attack.

This is exactly how I’ve been trying to make my own hidden blade! The only difference is I designed a two tiered version to get a longer blade. I need one of these! Also is there any way to make the drawstring where you have full range of movement of your hand without the blade coming out every time you pull your hand back? The closest idea I’ve been able to think of is making the string longer and having to reach under the string with your thumb to pull on it
@user-rg5ng7pu8n3 жыл бұрын
What i do is use a longer string that normal(not much,just enough so i can move my hand freely) and put the ring on my thumb, if i want to use the blade i have to grab the lose string with the rest of my fingers and pull,the only downside is that you can't use the blade without closing your fist but it does give you a lot more movement
@TempusViator4 жыл бұрын
Would you ever make one of these in a two-tiered form? I would 100% buy that.
@Raxus_Sabers3 жыл бұрын
Is there a way to make that longer? Make it extended like Altair’s blade in the game?
@bigchooch44344 жыл бұрын
You should sell CAD files of your designs. I understand there's concerns about people sharing the files for free, but with websites like Cults, you retain copyright and can force people to remove their files if they're caught resharing. You can still make money off your metal HBs you make, but charging $20 (or even $50) for the files would net you a lot of additional money from people who can't afford several hundred dollars for a 3d printed part, but still really want one of your designs.
