Most veterans you will meet at the VA have had some hard luck after getting out of the service. Most got into drugs and or became homeless, and are rehabilating.

​@willardhill7547 That's FALSE!!! There are SOME veterans who have fallen into hard times after serving, but not "most". Majority of vets have utilized and tranferred their education/experience from their time in service into the civilian sector just fine. For those who aren't, the VA offers many programs to assist them. Unfortunately, dishonorable discharged vets and vets who have gotten into legal trouble aren't eligible for VA assistance in many cases. Also, some vets refuse to seek assistance or get frustrated with the difficulty they encounter navigating the sytem and give up trying. Point is there are MANY reasons why there's a portion of vets that struggle after service. Please don't label "most" veterans as homeless rehabilitating drug addicts because we're not.

another AWESOME AUDIT - I did my audit yesterday over 1 1/2 hours - I mentioned your library policy change - they became defensive and unwilling to compromise- I left the library to find over 5 fed vehicles around the library area scattered distance apart watching me. Apparently, Security and the Library Director feared that I might be a shooter because of my PRESS Tactical Vest which I wear for numerous reasons and Sheriffs have already checked in the past to make sure my vest was not an Armor Vest and again on this day, both times ok'd my PRESS Vest and Right to Record Patrons and Staff. There is a major disconnect with Security guards and Law Enforcement due to extreme lack of training- the ones I have spoken to have said they receive NO training on anything- they are just hired and assume authority. That Security Guards like this one who bring their Ghetto Attitude throwing arms and hands around and balling fist talking to citizens like their peoples from the hood is why situations escalate quickly... This is just as unbelievable as police officers not knowing the law. You would think that ALL VETERANS WOULD KNOW THE CONSTITUTION, AND WHAT THEY FOUGHT AND FIGHT FOR. YOU'D THINK ALL THE EMPLOYEES WOULD HAVE DEFINITELY BEEN EDUCATED ABOUT THIS.
