He was a public speaker at one time before his calamity. It is how he made his living for a period of his life. So he was a very good public speaker. But he is not giving a speech here. He was just describing what had happened to him. For the rest of his life, He just spoke to people as they came around -!whoever came around -and there were no prepared answers to anything-t was just a conversation. Sometimes there were many people in the room, and sometimes they were only a few. It was always different. The door was always open. People could come and go as they pleased.
