Enjoyed the videos. The 2.5mm wire will probably be fine. Cookers use 6mm because they also feed the hob which has at least four elements. If you check the total current draw of the oven, I very much doubt it will exceed 3KW in which case 2.5mm cable is fine. If it's much more than 3KW then you can't plug it into a ring main and will need to add an extra breaker to the consumer unit and wiring. I have been powder coating using a fan oven plugged into the ring main through a 13amp plug top for years with no issues. The oven is too bloody small though so I need to do something similar to yours though I will probably make it a bit smaller due to space considerations. I didn't know about C stud so that is well useful. I will probably use two inch on mine as it will still have considerably more insulation than the original oven and being smaller won't need the extra rigidity of you giant !

Thanks man! Yea haven’t had any issues yet so I think I’m in the clear. Just need to sort the dan out on mine and I’ll be happy. Yes I stumbled upon a couple guys using the c stud sections and it blew my mind as made it so easy! Hope you enjoy building your own. Jaso.

Thanks bud! I’m not entirely sure as I never had any paperwork for the home oven I used the electronics from but if I was to have a guess at around 1,500w for the fan assist and about 2,000w for the main grill element at the bottom so guessing I’ve got around 3,500w total

way too little heat. needs 100-150watt per square ft. way too tall to not have circulation. window needs to be removed, massive loss of heat, install a slide instead so u can check the temp without opening the door

Has a fan assisted oven element so has some relative circulation, have 2x heating elements now running full time so plenty of heat, heats up to 180/200 degrees in 45 mins, and have since added a temperature sensor in the door
