Thanks for watching! Would you be interested in turning this into an ongoing series? Let me know in the comments below if you'd want to watch more interviews with people who had their children "later" in life.

I really appreciated this talk! I’m 29, currently in graduate school. My finance and I want children, but there are so many things I want to do and prepare before getting pregnant. Like travelling and starting my new career. I definitely feel the “biological” social pressure to have kids conflicting with my personal desires. I would love to see more chats like this to normalize prioritizing yourself and having children later in life! Thank you 🙏🏻

I'm working on it! I know some folks who I'd love to interview, but I think some of them are camera-shy. Best wishes with grad school! I'm rooting for you.

I had my first baby a month before I turned 37, it happened easily enough, now I'm trying for the second one at 38 (so it happens when I'm 39 hopefully). I was afraid this is all happening too late, so thank you for this, it's pretty reassuring!

I'm a bit different. I've been super fertile all my life. I am 40, but had my first baby at 18 years old and my most recent baby at 34. Four altogether. Then all of the sudden a deep drop of fertility that I am trying to rectify. I've had no miscarriage since 34 just unable to conceive at all. It's a particularly frustrating situation when it was once all SO easy and then..nothing. I'm glad I've been lead to this channel. You are so soothing and reassuring to listen to. I Know I will conceive again in due time as I am taking several steps to reclaim my fertility. Thank you!!!

oh that's lovely. All I've ever wanted is to be a mother. Almost married in my 20s. Don't know how I got to 34 without kids. It depresses me. I had to get out of a bad relationship and now I'm single and hoping to meet someone so i can have kids before I'm 37 hopefully. Hearing your story gives me hope ❤

I had my first baby when I was 36 and I regret waiting so long. I've cried many times thinking about how much time I'll be missing out with my child when they're an adult and less time with grandchildren. Establishing a career, traveling, partying in my 20's and early 30's feels so pointless now compared to having a family when I'm older. If i knew what I do now. I would have started having kids in my 20's when I had the energy and health!

Thank you for sharing your experience and a different perspective. This is something I've thought about but ultimately landed on the truth that even if we have kids at a younger age, we're not promised a longer amount of time with them. A very dear friend who had her children in her 20s passed away unexpectedly in her 30s (leaving preteen daughters) while I've had family members live well into their 80s and 90s who met and played with their great-grandchildren. All any of us can do is the best we can with the time we have. So I choose to care for my mind, body, and spirit in hopes of being here for as long as possible with as much wisdom and energy to share as possible. Again, I thank you for sharing a different point of view. Life is complex. Be well.
