Love this video! I actually decided to hit up South Willow Lake for my first solo backpack with my two huskies after watching this video a few months ago! It was GORGEOUS up there! Awesome video! Thanks for sharing it so I could find this spot!
@AdventuringWithNala3 жыл бұрын
Awesome man! Glad you enjoyed the spot. Was there still snow up there when you went?
@DoseofDirt3 жыл бұрын
@@AdventuringWithNala yes! There absolutely was! We had a hard time finding a place to camp at south willow lake because there was so much snow! The lake was almost completely frozen over as well! I watched your videos again to try to get an idea of where you guys camped but couldn’t quite figure it out. The views up there of the valley are pretty spectacular!
@AdventuringWithNala3 жыл бұрын
@@DoseofDirt dang man! I was curious if it was hot enough to melt it away. It’s been scorching lately. We camped a little ways away from the lake. Before you get to the lake, we took a sharp left off the trail and crossed left over the stream the heads back down the valley. It goes up a tiny hill and that’s where we were at. The views are definitely spectacular.
@DoseofDirt3 жыл бұрын
@@AdventuringWithNala I didn’t even look that way, but definitely should have because it looked like you guys had the perfect spot! Next time I guess!

Chris I second all the comments on your beautiful videography - you are very skilled! But I also want to add a note on your background music choices. Also very nicely done - very soothing and refreshing, without being boring elevator music. A very good match for the tone and optics of your visual work. I hope your channel really takes off, you are obviously talented and putting in the work on the editing.

Thanks Cameron! It’s a ton of extra work to bring along the gear needed to make a video like this but I always am glad I did when it’s all said and done. I have mixed feelings about sharing videos like this especially with areas like this that are maybe not as well known. But it does take some effort to get out there from the valley so I hope that people who make the effort are the ones who will respect it and take care of it. Thanks for the comment 🙏

This is a beautiful video and all, but not a single leash to be seen, even when you can't see the trail ahead. Thank god you didn't run into wildlife or a reactive dog. These videos make me so nervous to backpack with my reactive dog. If there's a reason for keeping them off leash beyond "I want to let them run," it's worth noting in the video. This is genuinely dangerous; dog fights in the backcountry are very bad.
