It is great when hunting is a family affair. Congrats on the successful harvest. My 16 year old nephew harvested a nice 8 point this year in WV. I taught him how to field dress it. Memories were made as with your crew.

Congrats, that's a really nice first buck. Enjoy all the great meat. I've been hunting for 45 years and still get excited getting a nice big buck. Tell him with his other tag to take a nice young doe and compare the meat. The young doe meat is tender and just out of this world for grilling up. I usually fill my freezer with young doe meat and then the next season strictly hunt for trophy bucks that way I can let the small ones pass and still have meat in the freezer. Great job again.

Howdy Brock! That's doing it the hard way... heck I got 2 deer early Monday morning just driving my wife to her surgery! At Thanksgiving I was bragging to my cousin that my car was the first vehicle I hadn't at least tagged a deer with. 10 years! Then bang... 2 in one hit lol. Cosmetic damage but dang... probably not worth getting fixed. Nice buck though! Thems good eatin'!! Thanks for sharing 🤠

decent first deer not so old he that he would be tough....will be perfect eating age....prob 2.5 yr old 3.5 at the oldest as a southern mo deer ....wouldnt put mounting money into it unless its first deer its pretty easy to do a european mount at home just burry the head in ground with antlers sticking out cover with a tub and 6 months later it will be ready to power wash n mount....about what we put in the freezer this year will be 40-60# of processed meat when its all said n done
