I remember the first time watching First Blood when I was young and starting the Army cadets. This movie really captured me, it was an all time favorite. A powerful albeit obscure reminder of this movie for me, was listening to the acoustic guitar mid section of the Ozzy Osbourne song Diary of a Madman, which had that army sounding marching drum. It's weird how some music evokes the feelings and images of certain periods of time in our lives.

And have to say, I'm glad they sent Kurt Douglas packing 😅😝 Fully agree with Sylvester Stallone what he said about the veterans, the ending needed sensitivity and meaning, and he definitely portrayed that with that iconic ending performance.
